This is ironic to say when whiners cant stop whining about to much color! LOL
But seriusly dude just let Keeth do his job.
What about Sc2 they changed SC2... stop being such a fan boy. Its adevs job to listen to the fans and change the game so they can make more sales. What dont you understand about that?
The reality is that the new stuf is just 1000% better, but if people keep on whining well never see it and I am still pised about Ghost.
So nothing personal just enjoy the obvius upgrade and STFU thx;)
Apparently it isnt all that better because a lot of people complain. I love the music but not the atmosphere. Im glad all you can do is resort to being rude.
I'm new to Diablo but I really like the contrast of different places you go and explore. Although I wish the dungeons looked not dark but more gruesome with more blood, dead bodies, more plant life or growth. But since they are still working on it, I bet most of the extra stuff as not shown. Anyway every place can't look like hell on earth then what would you be fighting evil for? Shit would you fight evil if it made no difference in the world? I wish they would put soemthing like that in the game. That once you banish the evil for a part of the land the people in the land start to rebuild.... Anyway I like it but what do I know.
What you have seen in Diablo 3? I tell you what you have seen - 2 areas. That's like 0.1% of the whole game.
We've seen a dark dungeon, so dark that, according to Deckard Cain, it was easy to disorient yourself.
I've already quoted this a thousand times. No need for me to do it anymore. Read up before you comment.
Exactly what is shown in Diablo 3. Yet you still complain.
No. That was not what was shown. There wasn't anything dark about it. It was just like Titan Quest. No mood was set. It was very 'plastic' in feel.
I'm sure you'll quote that and say "ZOMG IT WAS PASTELS RAAAAH" and not have any idea of what I'm talking about.
Actually the grass in the Encampment is pretty green. And remember the chickens and the cow there? Now they're all gothic and dark, hell yeah.
Are you blind? It's ruined...
Yes, the grass was green. The grass was also dark.
Notice that? Dark grass? Do you notice that? Can you not differentiate between color and darkness? Do you only see a hand full of hues and nothing in between?
Are you really trying to say that the grass colors are the same, or are you simply trying to say that "GREEN WAS A COLOR IN DIABLO 2!" because we all know this.
What you're not understanding is that dark grass is much more realistic and less cartoony than bright green grass.
Pretty simple.

Being witty doen't count as a counter-argument. The cathedral lies in ruins, you can't deny that.
It looks pretty organized and non-ruined to me.
I don't really remember seeing a burning pile of anything, any piles of debris, or anything other than the destruction that you, the player, caused.

THAT'S laughable, do you even realise that the camp and the whole ACT1 was AT NIGHT,
GO watch the D3 gameplay video to see how the game look changed when night time came, NEXT TIME pick a pic of the grass at the right time, IT's LIKE FREAKING comparing a day and night shots and expect them to look the same, FAILURE
And for the Sanctuary comment, Sanctuary nature HAVE NO FREAKING REASON to look different that our Nature, how stupid is that, check ACT2 in D2, it looks like a freaking desert mid day, it has no reason to look different.
How more bright and similar to real life desert does it have to get for you guys to believe that Sanctuary nature is no different than ours.

Do you see any pastel colors in your image Hunter? Is there some sort of fluorescent green or yellow anywhere? No, only an old damaged town in the desert, full of despair.
Maybe because the sun is so bright that you think it's not depressing? You don't get what dark means at all
I've never seen Titan Quest, so I can't say. And for the mood - if you don't want to feel it, you won't.
Want to feel it? Get that shit out of here. I want to feel scared. Blue-green glows in dungeons that are, by definition, supposed to be so dark you can't see what is going on don't make me feel scared no matter how god damned hard I want it to.
I thing that grass with all colors between yellow and green is realistic.
Of course it is. You'll notice plenty of yellows and greens in Diablo 2 act 1.
Well check again, there is.
You may want to check again, actually. Any and all destruction is caused by the player, either through himself actually destroying the world or through him triggering a spawning of a creature. Everything else is in pretty standard order. Nothing looks destroyed, dark, or moody. It looks like a haunted house, not a dark dungeon.

check the images on gamespot, they don't look fluorescent to me at all
Clean floors, lit candles, sorted bookshelves is the new way to see dungeons, and the deamons are hygienic now as well. they drink tea at noon and talk about rituals and stuff.

This is actually correct, he has raised his gamma. I'm checking 2 screenshots from my UI with mid gamma and 100% gamma.
Yeah, the maide did a bad job cleaning it and lighting all the candles so Kane could read those books. Shame on her.

You'll still notice a fair amount of color still, but the greens and oranges have been brought down to allow the blues of the water to stick out more.
For comparison:
Diablo II is not realistic. The grass looks muddy... but it's still green...

No, no it wasn't. 3 easy steps to prove this.
1. Make a new character.
2. Do the very first quest.
3. Watch in awe as light shines down from the roof of the Den of Evil.
I can already tell you've never played Diablo 2. Nice try.
Diablo 2 is plenty realistic. Wild grass is much darker than trimmed, domesticated grass as this picture demonstrates.

Nice try though.
To go even further, most grass types found in a forest setting are darker due to not getting a lot of sun light.
The grass we see in D3 is around plenty of bushes and trees.

He's referring to the blue-green mist in the tristram cathedral.
Check the official diablo 3 website for what Deckard Cain says about the place in its current form and for screens of it. They do not match up.
Did they give off a fair amount of light when they were burning outside?
No.
Did they give off a fair amount of light when they were burning inside?
Yes.
Your question answers itself.
It's plain to see you haven't played the game.
blurr this image and voyala diablo 3 with better details.
