thank god blizzard stands by what it thinks is necessary for the growth of the game. the true fans will understand, whether they like color or not. I love the color anyway.
Yea, thats the only thing that matters "growth of the game", fuck quality.
Besides, implying the game will sell more because its warcraft pastel crap is bogus anyways.
#1, Better quality requires it NOT BEING IN BLAcK AND WHITE
#2, Watch your fucking language.
#3, I never implied anything about warcraft. is it possible that people are hating on it a bit unneccessarily?
"Oh no, diablo's using people!"
Dark dungeons = WIN Dark Dungeons with gore that stays = OWNAGE, none dark dungeons = FAIL FAIL FAIL.
Incorrect, a lot of the dungeons in WoW aren't as dark as people would like and it doesn't = FAIL FAIL FAIL.
Look I don't like WoW, the graphics are pretty crappy, the gameplay is boring, it just got old.
Do I really care if the D3 dungeon VAGUELY resembles WoW? No. Because it will still be D3. People need to give it a rest and stop complaining so much over a tiny video of the game in alpha stage.
It's getting sad. Same reused arguments being thrown up on both sides, I'm tired of hearing about it completely. If they want to change the graphics fine, okay. If not, I don't care.
But there is no reason for us to still be complaining about this subject until more info on the game is released.
Why do people keep on denying? "Vaguely resembles WoW"? If thats the case then it in no way resembles Diablo WHATSOEVER, wich is the REAL problem, wouldn't you say so?
No I wouldn't say so. Because D2 and D3 are 8 years apart with VAST new gaming technology between now and then. Of course things are going to look different.
It's the same company making both games yeah there are going to be some similarities. It's ONE dungeon though.
Those look a lot a like, no denying that but that's just one dungeon, the outdoor environment doesn't look like WoW, ands most likely not all dungeons are going to look like that.
I agree shoulder pads need to be smaller, but besides that I think things look fine as of now as long as every dungeon doesn't look like that.
As of right now there is no reason for anyone to complain any longer, we all know some people like it, some people don't, some don't care anymore. If you don't like it email Blizzard, sign the petition, pray to God they change it, there's just no reason to drag this arguing out any longer until we see more of the game, or get news of them changing the art direction.
Diablo is a dark bloody game was in the past and should be in the furture, wows childlike mannar is what makes it look shit its a good popular game but you look at the majority of its audiance they are imature children.
Diablo 3 is a dark demon game where you hack and slash through dark grousome game was int he past should be in the future.
So you would play Diablo if they did it entirely in pastels, replaced all the heroes with cute woodland creatures so long as it had the name Diablo and good gameplay? You're a consumer whore.
You picked the wrong guy to insult. Graphics don't make the game. If that were the case, Turok would be a great game. But it's not. It sucks ass. Regardless, Diablo isn't made entirely in pastels and there aren't cute woodland creatures for heroes, so your point is moot.
Let's see, if I'm a consumer whore, that means I consume things for money. Last I checked I'm not getting paid to play good games, so I don't think I make much of a whore. You, on the other hand, are a tool because you are being fed this bullshit about "bad graphics" and you go around parroting what they're telling you.

Also, your knowledge of statistics is out of date. Go back to high school.
50k people signed a petition, let's say five million people did actually play D2. How many of that five million do you suppose have not heard of the petition?
So...you're saying that more people aren't signing because they haven't heard about it? You seem to be doing a good job of spreading the word. I find it more likely that those 4,950,000 people just don't agree with you.
The guy talks about wanting variety. Sure, we'll be exploring the outdoors AND dungeons. But why can't we have the whole light radius effect back when we ARE in dungeons? I don't see any reason for the whole WoWish green glow junk. At least bring back the dark atmosphere for dungeons, if not outdoors.

It may still be fun, but it will be World of Diablo.

I hate the green glow as much as possible but light radius just won't work in D3, you couldnt see stuff in the background or cool events that happen such as the assault beast breaking down the wall.
You wouldn't be able to see walls to destroy or tables to smash before you were on top of them.
And then compare with the improvements in D3. Thanks Blizzard.
I'm fed up with the WoW graphics in D2 with all that bright blue and green. So glad that you've finally got it right in D3. Yes, colour is your friend in D3 - a chance to darken up away from the garish extremes of D2.

So we've got over the problem of colour in D3. Great. Now let's argue about everything else not yet set in stone and help make this game simply great! Game on.
Turn down the contrast?
On a more serious note, sign the petition if you think it'll help.

"What's wrong with that, man?"
"Warcraft uses people!"
it makes me f***ing sick.

Do you see much resemblance in these pictures?

And it still will be if you like the new art or not.
Regardless of who likes or dislikes the art, I just think we should let it go for now so we can focus on more interesting topics.

One of many articles that corroborates the fact that Diablo markets to a fanbase of millions.

If they can make light radius work I'd be all for it. I just don't see that happening. There is too much going on that you couldn't see.
Every photo shopped image of light radius has been dark as all hell.
