in that case learn to stop living paycheck to paycheck. It's a bad habit anyway....It's nobodies fault but your own that you do not know how to manage your money.
Dude!! Stop busting his balls!! Some of us are in extreme situations. I moved out here to California to pursue my career in acting and modeling. I came with almost $7K. I am now $1900 in debt, and I am barely able to make my payments on my car and house that I'm renting with two friends. The payment is only $650 a month too!!
I am working anywhere from 40-50 hours a week at my job, and I am barely getting by. I would try to get another job, but then I wouldn't have any time to do my photo shoots or auditions.
I will probably be able to scrounge up the cash for the game, but for a monthly fee, I will just play single player.
Who the hell do you think you are? You come in here insulting someone and telling them how they need to handle their money. Screw you and go troll another forum.
I would pay the money per month to receive extra content, depending on how much they charge and how well built the game is on release. I don't believe that everyone should have to pay to play what comes out of the box on battle.net. I also agree that Flagship had a great idea that was not properly implemented; in the beginning at least, I never stuck around long enough to tell if they got their act together.
Another large incentive for me would be to pay to have a team totally dedicated to updating the programs that log every action and check for cheaters.
As for keeping the children out, I don't think a monthly fee has any real bearing on that. If a parent deems their child mature enough to let them play this game, it's really not my business.

Some people still live in their parents house and don't realize what its like to have bills.^_^
i agree witch archie, some people cant afford to pay 15 dollars a month for a game, everything is getting expenisive and you have to pay for other things like food, gas, rental fees, etc and you dont have enough money to blow on a fucking game.
If your saying that not going to a movie once a month is a big blow to your social life then you don't have one to begin with.
are u saying u only go out once a month? there other shit to spend money on[/quote]
Lol, i never said i only go out once a month. I go out every weekend. But why not stay home one night out of the month to help pay for something that you can use the entire month. Sacrifice one day for 30, that sounds logical to me.
OMFG, i just bought a can of tuna and a bottle Of coke without thinking this month... Total money spent $10 --=> fuck my life is over and i guess the bank will be here to reposess my shit tomorrow......
anyone that cannot save $2.50 (think ten minutes of working) in 7 days is a farqin retard.. case closed....
This is actually a pretty good thread. However, realistically, Diablo III is being run on battle.net, not its own servers, so there's nothing to pay for. It would be running on the same service as SCII, and to be fair, SCII would also need a monthly fee, and it's been confirmed for both games that there is in fact no monthly fee.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Okay where to start.
Your first reason is completely ridiculous. Refering to younger people as "kiddies" just shows how immature you are. And since when does age determine maturity level? And if you seem to think that requireing a credit card will stop younger, possibly more immature, people your living in a delusion. I'm sure with enough whining and begging mommy and daddy will fork over the card for them regardles of what the ESRB rating is. Also if you have ever played on B.net you would know that you can make your own private games.
Secondly just because Blizzard charge us monthly in no way requires them to update the game regularly. They could charge us just for the hell of it and not update anything. Their is no law written on a stone tablet that was passed from the Gaming God that says they are required to do anything about updates.
And lastly who are you to judge how other people manage their money. Some of us have families, a house, college tuition, children, etc... Are these people suppose to not enjoy the game just because video games are first priority. For someone who lives with his parents and "pays mostof [his] own bills" you should probably not be so eager to cast stones.

For the most part, age can be a good way to determine maturity. Sure there are exceptions, but like I said a majority of kids are inmature. WoW is an example. Its crazy to believe that a monthly fee would not rat out atleast some of them. I dont mind paying a few bucks a month for a better gaming experience.
And the 15 bucks a month for wow go towards better servers and the development on content. Why not pay and get regular updates on items, bosses, levels, etc instead of waiting months for the next patch

Any why would you? There's no reason to read 7 pages of people agreeing with you.
