But seriously, if there is Diablo III, I want to know how they are going to implement Diablo back into it. Because at the end of the first one they showed that the warrior was turned into Diablo because he is a dick and decided to put the Soulstone up to his forehead. But at the end of D2 they pretty much left no room for a sequel.
I know if it is Heaven vs. Hell then it will become something like Deckard Cain was actutally God in the form of a man and Diablo is Satan who came to earth to put a stop to his demise, as God was creating a warrior to come and destroy him. Hence the war of Heaven vs. Hell has been going the whole time.
But anything other than that will require some kickass story writing.

no you fallen into the darkside, i cant believe im gonna have to explain this to a member of silversurfnstudism, i hope you were joking when you asked, because that is something you should know
uhhhh here I go again (going down the only road ive ever know, wait where was i oh yes)
the prime evils (yes all three of them) do not need soulstones to survive. destroying their soulstones releases theirt essence which was trapped inside. the essence once released returns the burning hells from wence it came. now in time the essence will reform into a prime evil. now we have a prime evil in his full power body and mind. that was the easy part. the hard part is how the prime evils get back to the mortal realm, the first time they were banished there, by belial and azmodan, the second time (D3) even i dont know, i search all the books, texts, tomes and scrolls but i cant find an answer

Don't you worry there is no need to explain it again (although you kind of already did) because that I know. I was just pointing out that if they next game is infact based in heaven and then then there may not need to be a way for Diablo (and Baal for that matter) to return to the mortal realm.
The warriors in Diablo 2 go to Destructions End. I feel that this is a hint that the next game won't actually take place in the mortal realm, but in a neutral realm between heaven and hell in which both demons and angels fight to defend their realm.
Who knows, maybe CAin is God. It would explain how he knows so much
well not entirely, i know lots but im not a god, although 574 years is a long time
i still think it will take place in sanctuary just as the others have, and you got to heaven and hell for a couple of stages

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
Why doesn't he just kill them all as babies, then they will be pure souls in heaven and will be able to be taught how to fight as a holy warrior from birth
yeh but like i said, it would be ok to fight baal and mephisto in some kind of similar set up as uber tristram, combing somethings in the cube to open a portal

Can't have the Diablo game without all three brothers. Sure you'll definatley get Diablo back, probably along with Azmodan and Belial, but if Diablo can come back, then so can Mephisto and Baal, but that doesn't mean they have to have the same minions they had in the last two games - the fresh meat will be cooked in the next installment.
what if you got to fight 'former prime evils" like, demons who were in power before the others cause im sure diablo, mephisto, and baal weren't always the head honchos of hell. only thing is their weakened from thousands of years of time and aren't as strong any more (you might get a chuckle thinking about fighting demons who act like grandpas)
it would make sense to have all 3 prime evils in there tho since they were sent back to the deeped part of hell when they died.

I wanna see them comeback, However it is said that it is hard to beat them if you they team up. (uber trist) I would like to see them back With A quest that involves killing all 3 at once. Remember the prime evils no longer have bodies of the most powerful mortals ever to exist.
