I can't wait for the next patch to hit. I am a lover of Ray of frost and these new items are gonna have me finally rising above T6 with some channeled spells! So the new legendary item that casts your spenders while channelling looks exciting, (other channel orientated gear is now obviously BiS) can't wait to spam Sleet Storm and drop blizzards and comets without interrupting my channel. This will also be amazing for Tal Rasha builds (assuming the spenders proc 6pc) who want to channel... well Arcane Torrent I guess.
Some of the monk gear looked a bit underwheming but I am especially keen to try a LTK + SW build. Probably fire, maybe lightning if Cyclones can actually produce some decent damage. On that subject, Cyclones should really scale with SW stacks, because atm the damage is beyong unnoticeable.
So much stuff I wanna talk about but it's all too much to think of I'm losing my place here.
Needless to say, I'll be staring at the clock on the wall until 2.4 goes live (im on console too so I'll have to wait a few extra hours, oh the excruciating pain!!)
Would really like to make Rimeheart usable somehow
Rimeheart needs a new legendary affix to be usable. The one it has is obsolete due to the CC diminishing returns.
For instance: <> Your Cold skills now benefit from 150-200% of your Critical Strike Damage.
or <> Every time an enemy resists a Freeze, deal 2500% weapon damage as Cold to it.
I would have decimated a 75 before the servers kicked me off. I destroyed a 70 that felt like T8. I did not use the OP set rings because I know they will be nerfed. I went firebird/arcane torrent (the tal rasha/delsere builds that also come to mind make my imaginations run wild). That new offhand that also casts my other spenders makes channeling spells extremely, extremely, fun.
Does that specific blizzard rune freeze every time you cast it? Would really like to make Rimeheart usable somehow
And from reading PTR forums it seems this item won't proc 6pc talis, though it may be op if it did
There is a DR on all CC. If rimeheart was exempt, it would be awesome. What I mean by that is if the "freeze" effect applied anyway, but the actual stun was DRed instead so that rimeheart would still proc.
I'm not sure which skills have the most broken proc coefficients (maybe monk skills?), but they should change Rimeheart to 5% chance on hit to enemies that are chilled, instead of frozen. We can keep up chill effect indefinitely, so maybe reducing to 5% chance is a fair trade?
Let blizzard stack! That would be nice. But yeah i know of the uselessness of cc now. Though i guess it was necessary or else the support classes permastun would be op. Still so many items/skills were affected. I agree that rimeheart should work on chill
