Today I want to show you guys one of the new legendary gems coming in the next patch - Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard. This defensive gem has some very interesting implications and I think it's a bit more geared towards ranged classes.
In this video I go over the mechanics, the rank 25 secondary, and show it in action. On a melee class, with enough toughness it's possible to offset a lot of DoT damage types like Poison Enchanted. Enjoy and be on the lookout for the other 2 gems!
How about the interaction of this gem and the Death's Bargain pants?
Gain an aura of death that deals 750–1000% of your Life per Second to enemies within 16 yards. You no longer regenerate Life.
At rank 50, the gem gives 60k life per second. With perfect pants, this would mean 60kk AoE dps. Not too shabby!
It's awful. I've tested Death's Bargain extensively and it ONLY scales with your life per second and %physical damage. That's it.
So, if you have 100k life per second and +100% physical damage and perfect (1000%) pants, you're looking at tics of 2 million, which do NOT crit or scale in any other way.
1000% is a 10x multiplier, not 100x. It confuses some people.
Doesn't work even on T1. If the pants scaled with your main stat and/or cc/cd, then maybe, but right now they're worse than useless.
I wonder how Rogar's Huge Stone would play into this.
It could work pretty well. I'm going to be looking at some zdps things you can do with this soon, without having to resort to damage immunity mechanics.

Just one small thing I see often people say thats incorrect. 1000% would be 11x multiplier. 100% is a 2x multiplier (100% more is doubling your damage), 200% is a 3x multiplier, and so on.
