Gift's on jewelry? I think this would be a very nice addition to the game. 1. It gives players something to look forward too and options when they find a gift or have multiples. 2. Gives some more build diversity and can give players more DPS and toughness. 3. Would let players go a little deeper in higher rifts do too the stat boost and gear options that would come available.
What are your thoughts guys? This has probably been talked about already. Whats the Pros and Cons this could lead too?
It would function has a big buff to everyone. But I know where you are coming from for the DH. trifecta on rings would put your guys DPS thru the roof even more . Another idea would just be for ammy's. Since blizzard has made elemental dmg huge. Could be another way too go.
I have to agree that any class/build, not pointing any fingers of course ;), that does not require much in balance between dps and survivability would benefit more than others. And narrowing it to only affect the amulet would somewhat diminish that disparity. It would still be biased.
So perhaps it could alter the accessory in some other fashion? Maybe some additional underlying legendary effect that's to be unlocked akin to the legendary gems. Or as you mentioned elemental damage - tack on an elemental damage roll that can only be reworked as elemental damage would be a boost across the board.
Keep generating interest in the gifts russell3773 because even though I've only found two of them, I'd love to see them have more applications than what they do now.

Thanks Detruncate. I just think if they are going to stay away from adding a new rarer( much rarer) tier of items that you can only have two equipped or something of that nature. They need too add more things LIKE gifts, add more too paragon system. Instead of finding rare items or better version of the ones you already have, create other ways of people too improve what they have and work off of. Not saying my wiz is the best out there. But the only item I really need and hunt for is a Witching hour..Since RoS haven't seen on. Would like to know there's more ways out there too improve.
OP's correct, though toward a greater end then he realizes. Sockets in D3 have long been a great source of frustration for players. Much of that has been alleviated by the Mystic. Moreover, the Gift grants weapons the ability to be freed from their 3 affix prison given to them by sockets.
It's time to take this to the next logical step and allow the Gift to apply maximum sockets to any slot capable of holding a socket.
Contradictory to the OP's post, the only slots that can have a socket but aren't required to, are the jewelry slots. The Chest, Pants and helmet, all require a socket. Anyone wishing to argue that would have to find me 1 (just 1) example of a player purposely not using a soc on these slots.
They've pussyfooted around with the socket dilemma for too long now, taking little baby steps toward a sensible solution like they have so many times before (individual identifying anyone? Needed fixed 3 or 4 times before they got it right).
What is it about this company that creates such stonewalls for them to hurdle when there's a goddamn door they could use and just open it up?
