2 billion gold on the RMAH is $80.40 right now. It's been steadily going up in price since the RoS beta started and people realized they need more gold for the expansion.
the people who are buying gold because of RoS are suckers. I'm sure that by the time RoS comes out, the gold income will be balanced for your needs (because no more AH, yey), so stacking up right now it's a waste of money.
That is not totally true. Coming to ROS with a billion gold is an advantage. You will be able to enchant your items faster than the people who need to farm the mats + gold. Personally, i got like 700m gold saved up... I also found a ring a while back that i'm trying to sell for 100-500m. I think people should save up, but buying gold off the RMAH is just a waste of money, seriously.
I honestly don't know what one will do with over 10m gold myself once RoS launches. Your going to be held back by mats that you need to farm WAY before you run out of money as long as they don't boost the cost of things that is ;).
I'm keeping 1b to go into RoS with but I sold everything else when I downgraded my characters. No point going in with too much gold. Yeah you'll get an initial advantage but the gold earning rate needs to balanced for the masses so they'll be ways to acquire gold in RoS.

I've gone threw 20-30 million just upgrading *some* of my gems and reforging. Haven't done much crafting, no legendary transmogrification, no top-level gem yet, and I have still lots of materials left (a few hundred blue and rare crafting materials) - so if I wanted to I could try to get my 4.5% crit on my rings/helmet to 6% and easily blow a few dozen million. But I don't have much gold ;-)
If they don't do anything about it, anyone without a significant amount of gold will be hitting a gold bottle neck soon after release. This is absolutely a valid concern.
Keep in mind that you only need 3 decent primary stats on a rare, then you can go crazy with reforging (which can be 100% supported by money only). If the entire crafting/materials/gold situation stays like it is now, you do a couple of bounties to buy the basic rares, and the rest is done with enforging. A decent amount of gold let's you skip progression to Master or possibly Torment 1 quite quickly this way.
Do remember though, from what I've seen stats rolled on drops can be higher than enchanted stats. So your 5b gold bracers you spent so long perfecting could be gone pretty eaisly. I guess I did forget gems, I could prolly spend all my money and then some on upgrading those but they only seem to go up 1/2 per upgrade as previous.

I'm not sure if there are *some* stats that roll higher when dropped as compared to being reforged, but for example you can definitely get 10 APoC or 6% CC by enforging, which might turn any "meh" item for that slot into BiS.
Hi can someone please confirm the current AH price for 2billion gold ? I can't check now i am at work

No problem
I'm sure once the hype dies down a little then gold will go back down in price before RoS launches.
