Rant post incoming:
Yes i have an authenticator
Last night i logged on after getting back from the gym, and to my surprise, my two main characters had been deleted, completely gone. I used the reverse delete button and my paragon 21 level dh came back, great but my 83 monk main is still gone. I open a ticket and tell them what happened and basically am told to go and f myself.
"We have reviewed our logs for the Diablo III account attached to this Battle.net account, and we were unable to verify a compromise took place. As a result, no rollback was performed."
Yes blizzard, I purposely deleted my characters the day before patch so i could talk to such a wonderful tech support. Give me a break. The next 3 messages were automated responses explaining the un-delete of 1 character and
"We are not able to fulfill your request. We cannot alter followers, artisans, or achievements."
Honestly what the hell, what part of me wanting my deleted characters back justifies as followers, artisans, or achievements.....
Calling them made it even worse, where the rude tech support guy could only give me a response of, " Well that sucks, contact game masters."
This is an absolute joke blizzard come on start treating your customers like you would like to be.
Are you talking about HC characters? At least starting today, HC chars won't be restored - ever. At least if I understood it correctly.
Judging by their answer, the login data might suggest that your deletion came from the same IP (otherwise I don't think they would write this). Maybe while you were in the gym, someone had access to your computer (or maybe even remote access, some trojan horse?) and thus accessed your account. Hm, do you live in a shared flat and your roommate had access to both your computer and your authenticator?
If you have an authenticator AND they say "no compromise according to logs" that suggests pretty much that there was some security breach on your side...
Anyways: I'm deeply sorry - 83 monk gone, that sucks.
Edit: Oh lol completely forgot, just what Targariel said - anything you say here would be just to get it off your mind, but Blizzard doesn't read here. Well, maybe they read but definitely don't answer, go to the official B.Net forums for support.
