Is anyone still playing this by any chance? I didn't remember the sheer amount of skills available, not only that, you can play as a multiple class character. Right now, I have a ranger/storm hybrid with a bow as a primary.
I remember playing through this game once a couple of years ago, but I was a straight warrior. I'm curious to see how everything goes this time around, I don't remember much about the different acts and areas.

Are you looking for community approval? I can tell you that no one cares.
Oh btw, DrStrong, Titan Quest is not on Gamespot’s Top 10 list anymore either OMG! (referencing your other meaningless post)
I’m just curious how long it will take before you come back to Diablo.
Ah man I only just barely passed Act I in that game. The levels felt HUGE. I liked the concept and the skill system seemed cool, but it was painful leveling up at times because you'd spend a lot of time between getting new skills to try out. There were so many combinations of skills you could pick up, it was hard to really know what skills worked together well.
Overall it was a decent game, but something about it just didn't keep me like D2 did or D3 does.

Well it came out in 2007, so yea of course it isn't on that list, but you will find it on any "top hack & slash" list.
I have low level WD, Wizard, and Barb that I've been messing around with. But my higher level DH and Monk I don't bother.
lmao, spent so much time in that game... Its more hilarious because most of the complaints about D3 are even more extreme in TQ. Loot is horrendously spaced and drops are almost always shit. Applying your stats is more mindless than D2. Every class has dozens of useless points you'll never place points into and if you do you'll die by the beginning of Immortal Throne. Really the coolest part of the skill system was choosing your "class". Unbelievable that somehow you wish to play this over D3.
On a side note some follow up would be cool. I assumed (and as always with assumptions I was wrong) that most of the people who were going to or have quit D3 don't like the genre. The complaints I've heard have just been about drop rates and changed OP stats. Have you played any of the other ARPG's a lot or is your experience with them more similar to your experience with TQ?

I haven't really complained about the loot, I have gear sufficient for the point I'm at in D3.
Yea, TQ is frustrating a bit as far as the attack speed being pretty slow, the loot system is weird, but i like the feel of the game and I like the visuals. Besides that, it's larger than D3, and I've always been a sucker for greek/roman mythology. I also found that some of the items were more interesting than in the Diablo series.
Oh, I was really into Dungeon Siege 2 for a couple of years also.

I don't know if it's people not liking the genre, I think it might be just that rush of something new. I get this feeling from other games in other genres as well. I might really like a game but only play it once. Once I'm done with the story, if I'm already playing something else online, then I'm done with that game for the time being.
Honestly if people want an ARPG that's fairly good and new, Torchlight 2 felt pretty solid to me. It has some of the things that some players wanted from D2 and has some of the features that D3 used to make build diversity fresh. It lets you use skill points but doesn't restrict you to skill trees. I, personally, would say it's a better choice than Titan Quest. If you pre-order it you get Torchlight 1 to spend your time on while you wait for the release. win-win.
