I'm posting here because I'm not sure what to do. A couple weeks ago my account got hacked and my gold and gear was wiped. I didn't report it because my account was fairly new and I didn't lose much. I changed my password and then I got hacked again. This time, whoever is doing this, changed my password so I cant go on, changed my security quesitons and my CD key that I restered my account with doesn't even match anymore. I've tried calling customer support like 50 times but I'm beginning to believe that they don't even have a working call center. If anybody has experienced anything like this before or if I can be pointed in the right direction to get this resolved it would be greatly appreciated. I don't really care about getting my gear back, I just don't want to have to buy the game again/level up again
I don't know how to help you get your account back as this hasn't ever happened to me before. But I'm pretty sure that when you get a hold of a blizz rep they'll be able to get your account back (maybe not the gear).
Also, I would suggest getting an authenticator and scanning your computer for malicious stuff. If your account gets hacked once, it's not because somebody guessed your password (although sometimes that is the case, from people you know), but most likely because there's a keylog in your computer, so your key strokes are recorded when you type your password in. Having said that, changing your password does little to prevent it from happening again. If you have a smartphone the authenticator is free and you don't have to worry about security (unless Blizzard gets hacked)
The call centers are very busy and your guaranteed to wait for awhile... honestly the best time to do it is at work (if you work at a desk). Usually e-mails just redirect you to the call center... but it could be different now. I was hacked years ago on WoW, I then bought an authenticator and never had an issue since.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
I tried all last night and multiple times this morning. Every time I call their queue is full. And because all my information was manipulated I can't get anything accomplished online. I guess an authenticator is something I will definitely take a look at.
You also might want to check your of for keyloggers, and always use different passwords for forums/ email/ bnet. And yeah get an authenticater, and add a mobile phone number to your account

The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t...

Thanks!
Sounds like you may be trying to access an account that you never owned in the first place???

also you can type things to confuse him, i thought i had a key logger once, i typed in code, and copy pasted passwords.
