So i live in australia..... G'day... glad thats over with, and iv noticed some things with the speed of the beta.
OMG LOL when americans come on at night (my day) ZING - lag, even in single player games.
I know the beta is on limited hardware compared to what the real servers are on, but what worries me is that there is such a huge difference in playing on battle.net and single player here in diablo 2.
Will we have the same issues because the single player IS on battle.net?
For a long time me and my mates would vpn up to play D2 because hitting the servers was just too much lag. and rubberbanding? gotta love it.
As an alternative, why doesnt Blizzard get some rack space in australia? I know lots of companies (mine included) that wouldnt mind selling some space in australia for a small (but growing) company like Blizz, if it would help the (gaming) community.
Or you could put it in my room, ill put a fibre to it Im sure its hum will keep me calm at night.
EDIT: lol do i use enough brackets in this post? vote (once only) now

There is a SEA server already, which we can use if we dont want to play on NA.
When D2 was around, broadband didnt really exist in the form it does today. So I am not sure what you are talking about. Drunk maybe?
Woot, so there is gonna be a SEA server? Nice
Can someone tell me how to show my lag and fps? i looked around in the options but couldnt find it
My ping is usually fine on games, the thing i noticed was that on friday night here it was super fast. then saturday around midday, early afternoon it got a lot slower. same thing last night, it was fast as, then today around lunch - bam slow.
Im not that interested to do the time calculations (just enough to winge on a forum) but i put it down to more players getting on.
I just assumed they would keep the servers in america, but have more of em on release (is this how they do WOW? i havent looked that up)
I suppose they did just invite a couple more people (LOL) and complaining about the ame after getting the beta is bad for my karma, ill just play the game and wait the 4 weeks required *Cries*
