I just bought a HP Omen laptop I7 processor with 12 gig, 965M GPU with 4 gig, win10, and my fps rate is under 15 in group play with all settings at medium or under. Before I bought I look at the specs and that hardware should run diablo 3 easy. Anyone else own an Omen and has the same issue or does it run ok and it is something on my laptop that is wrong?
I did that by setting it to 16 and it was not the root of the problem for me. I know for some people changing parameters in the diablo ini file (hardware, etc) resolves issues.
Simply, for me, and probably for all people that will buy an Omen laptop (mine has the 965M card, it is the model sold by Best Buy), they will need to go and change the default settings as I indicated.
Thank you

greetings,

After quite some work, I found out what the issue was. I will post it here because I am sure other people have the same issue or will have it.
The default settings will make the game fps be very bad. After changing 3 settings, my Omen now does 100+ fps without any problem:
- You need to right-click on desktop an open NVIDIA Control panel.
- Manage 3D settings
- Program Settings
- Add Diablo 3 program
- CUDA- GPUs : Use the GEFORCE GPUS
-Power management mode - Prefer maximum performance
-Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization - On
- Triple buffering - On
- Threaded optimization - On
It resolved the issue.
Thank you
To help resolve stutters in some maps (Rakkis Crossing for one) you could try setting the in-game Sound Channels to Low as well.
