This is a contest open to the entire Diablo 3 community which aims to bring together the community through fun competition in a new way. This competition is inspired by something I feel most of the community can relate to which is that after the first couple weeks in a season everyone gets bored. People will either quit or reluctantly continue grinding paragon so they can have an edge at pushing leaderboards at the very end of the season. The goal of this competition is to give players a bit of a different way to play by making it important to push your best greater rifts every week of the season instead of just the last few weeks. Basically for the competition clans will attempt to earn points EVERY WEEK by placing higher on the Greater Rift Leaderboards than other clans. It is my hope that this style of scoring weekly points will keep players and clans engaged longer in the season or even the whole season by making every week an important week to push leaderboards. The contest will be open for all clans from NA and EU to sign up and join before the season starts. Once the season starts every week starting with the first Sunday night after the season starts clans will start earning points. Clans will submit their highest clear for each softcore category by midnight every Sunday night. Clans can earn points every week for each of the softcore seasonal leaderboards (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor, Wizard, 2-Man, 3-man, and 4-man). The top 10 clears of each category will earn points every week. The top clear earning 10 points down to 10th place clear earning 1 point. So clans will collect points for approximately 12 weeks and the clan with the highest combined points from all categories at the end of the season wins. At this time there are no prizes besides the glory and bragging rights of winning. If your clan wishes to participate please read how to sign up and the detailed rules below.
When signing up we ask for an email because we will be using google forms to collect all of the clans weekly best clears. We will use the email provided to send you the google forms. This is to try and limit filtering through fake submissions. The email will not be shared with anyone, but feel free to set up a separate “clan” email address for the contest.
Sign ups for all regions will end Wednesday August 3rd 24:00 PDT (2 days before season 7 starts).
Clans that do not submit any clears for weeks 1 or 2 will be removed from the contest.

Scoring:
For your clear to be scored it must:
Be submitted using the google form sent out that week to the email address you signed up with.
Your clan leader or officer must submit your clans best clears each week BEFORE Sunday 24:00 (PST for NA and CEST for Europe).
Be in the region’s top 1,000 clears in its category.
Be done by a player currently in your clan and must have the correct clan tag next to their name on the leaderboards.
If 10 or more clans sign up the following scoring system will be used: 10 points will be awarded to the top clear in each category. 9 for each category in second, 8 for third and so on until 10th place receives 1 point. Anything past 10th place will receive no points.
If less than 10 clans sign up the following scoring system will be used: The best clear in each category will receive points equal to the number of clans signed up. (For example if 5 clans are competing 1st place clears will receive 5 points). 2nd place receives one less point and so on until the last place clears earn 1 point.
When submitting your weekly clears please follow this format: Rank <ClanTag> Name GrLvl Time (Example: 567 <EX> Smith 2 3:45).
You may submit clears for each week at any time and come back and update them as many times as you want before Sunday at 24:00.
The same clear can earn points for multiple weeks as long as it remains in the regions top 1,000 clears. (Note: A previously scored clear(s) that remains your clans best clear(s) still needs to be submitted in the weekly form to be scored).
Group clears only need one member from your clan in the group to receive points. If a group consists of members from two or more different clans in the contest full points will be awarded to all clans. For example if clan A had 3 players in a first place 4-man clear with 1 player from clan B both clan A and clan B will receive 10 points for that clear.
Miscellaneous:
“Super” Clans: Clans with multiple clan communities can enter but must have the exact same Clan Tag and Clan Name for all of their clans to be considered one when scoring. For example two clans both named <Big> BigClan and <Big> BigClan. Can be counted as one clan when scoring. When signing up have the leader of all the clans or the leader of the main clan sign up as the clan leader and sign up the “leaders” of each sub-clan as officers.
If two clans have the same clan tag or clan name and are not a “Super” Clan then a letter will be added to the end of the clan tag or clan name appropriately in the roster and scoring sheets. For example if two clans signed up and both had the tag <Same> but wanted to be scored separately the clan that signed up first would be referred to as “<Same> A” and the second clan “<Same> B”on the roster and scoring sheets.
Clan rosters are allowed to be dynamic. Meaning:
A player can leave a clan mid season and the clan will still keep the points they earned from that player.
A player can join a clan mid season and earn points for their new clan.
Players may also leave a clan that is in the contest and join another clan in the contest and the points they earned for their first clan will stay with that first clan and any points they earn after switching clans will go to their new clan. Just remember that this scoring rule still applies: “For your clear to be scored it must be done by a player currently in your clan and must have the correct clan tag next to their name on the leaderboards.”
Cheating:
Exploiting: Use “of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods”. Any greater rift clears found to be using exploits will not be scored. Specific combinations of items and/or skills used in exploits will be listed on the contest page as unusable. It will be up to the discretion of the contest hosts as to whether or not something is an exploit until an official post from Blizzard (Blue post) confirms or denies the exploit. If a blue post states that there will be no punishment or clears removed for using a specific “exploit” then it will be considered fair game for the contest and no longer be blacklisted. Previous clears that at the time were considered abusing an “exploit” and were later made allowed by a blue post will NOT be re-scored.
Botting: “Bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, Battle.net and/or any component or feature thereof, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game”. A player found botting will be disqualified from the contest and points from their previous clears deducted and no points will be rewarded for any of their clears for the rest of the season. This contest considers someone to be botting if they average 20 hours or more a day AFTER the first seven days of the season. Or if there is video evidence of the player botting.
Bans: If a player’s account is banned by Blizzard they will be disqualified from the contest and points from their previous clears will be deducted and no points will be rewarded for any of their clears for the rest of the season.
If a player from a group clear is penalized for any of the above reasons the points from the group clear will be lost for all clans involved in that group clear. But only the specific player(s) from the group that were cheating will be would be disqualified if they break a rule that results in a disqualification.
