I think it owul be pretty sweet if blizz played of of the world ending in 2012 and they had the ground shaking and splitting open spewing lava, and there was some huge dude from hell using nautral disasters to his advantage and it would be raining myan calanders from the sky or somthing... this probably doesnt belong here but what evs...
That could be cool, but I personally would like to see the whole rainbow, unicorns, and other super colorful gay creatures like RABBITS and HAMSTERS ( get it? ) to inhabit some teletubby like land to play off of ther huge craze that was how colorful D3 is.

Well, since Sanctuary has absolutely no ties to the real physical world, or dates, doing something like that would be similar to the cheesy Holiday events you get in WoW. I swear to god if I ever see an NPC in D3 wearing a xmas hat I will ragequit.
That said, I support unique, in-game events. Just not anything tied to the real world. We play games to take a break from reality, not emulate it. Unless you play second life in which case you should be locked in a cage and studied by psychiatrists, and then lobotomized.

Not to degrade your opinion because i am of the same mind for the most part but sanctuary is definitely based upon the real world to some extent. That includes the regions in the game having similar architecture and motifs as real world cultures that can be found in similar climates. For arguements sake I don't think it is too much of a stretch to say there maybe a tribe in the teganze region that is similar to the mayan culture and believed the world was going to end.
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.
