i would think you pass through them. cause if you don't there's always going to be that idiot that blocks the small corridor and you can't progress.
or the barbarian stuck behind the wizard etc...

What about in PvP though? Would it make sense to bump into a character then?
With the exception of attacks that make you go through an enemy.

Characters have no collision in WoW and PvP works fine. However, it does feel kind of weird the first time you play. I'd like to see player collision if possible though.
Only monks and barbarians would have that issue for PvP i think. All the others will be trying to run away and snare them to avoid melee combat.
Making them bump to each other like in Age of Conan would only upset some things for something mostly cosmetic.
Player collision has an effect on kiting i would think?
If there is collision melee players might have an advantage? trapping them in corners for example?
If no player collision then casters might have an advantage?

Not really with the movement skills for all classes. But either way, it seems more like something that would mean more for PvP. And from what Blizzard said so far, the game will be balanced around PvE.
Well it looks like for PVE you can pass through other players. PVP is up in the air?
To me it would seem weird/inconsistent to have PVE where there is no player collision and PVP where there is collision? So I am thinking that you will be able to pass through player models in both cases.
Would be nice to find a PVP video of such an occurrence.. (will wait till I finish work and am at home to use Youtube :P)
no collision. Wow there is no collision, Lol there is, and i prefer no. Keep it consistent and have no collision period. It makes it easier, and you don't even notice it unless your focused on it. if you have collision it would just frustrate me trying 2 have to walk around people like in d2.

Judging from the fact that each class has a skill to essentially pass through/over/around monsters/players I would assume there would be collision with all other players and NPC's. I would prefer this personally because it makes PvP combat more interesting by allowing the ability to pin a player in place with summons if your a WD, forcing the use of the movement skills of each class. Otherwise wouldn't they be sort of pointless?
NPC's should have collision no matter what and I think the same should go for player characters. Not only does it add realism to the game, but afaik there is not target selecting like in WoW, only point and click. So it makes sense that your spells will collide with a solid target when firing in their direction, rather than a character you can pass through but your spells hit them as if they are really there.

Or do you bump into other players like a wall?
Bumping into players feels more real. Just hope there are not situations like in D2s "Maggot lair" is all!
at 0:51 it looks like the demon hunter went through the wizard.

I think they said every class has a "teleport-like" skill.

Its mildly acceptable in coop as long as the characters "push" each others automatically if both stand still.
In PvP, it'll always make more sense to me to have collision, and if anything it makes controlling where you are just that little bit more important.
