In the first gamplay video and some screen shots you can see breaks in the path that could only be traversed by jumping over them. Can we assume that each class will have this ability?

"It's hard to kill a man once you've seen pictures of his kids"
Seems kinda wasteful to give each class a different skill just to cross a gap in the path when just giving each class the ability to jump seems easier.
Plus, they could incorporate that into gameplay. Say like dodging an attach by jumping over it.
Or maybee that kind of gameplay just isnt Diablo.

well, yeah. The actual skill is not made just to jump gaps. They all have a utility aspect to them. But if they put in these pitfalls and I opted not to get leap or teleport, what then?

Leap does area damage, where teleport doesn't exept with a rune attachement, so the skills have other utilities.
For example you can't leap trough walls, but with teleport that can be done.
Actually in D3 you can't teleport through walls if i remenber right.
But yeah, there are differences between each mobility skill. A brief deduction:
Teleport
- Instantly move to a certain position. So it's faster then the other two moves.
Leap
- Delivers damage in area. So it's both a mobility and a offensive skill.
- Seens to be the most predictible of the three.
Spiritwalk
- It's the only one that allows you to form your path AFTER you use the skill, not before. So you have more edge for planning.
- It's problably going to be the slowest one.

I think in the first gameplay video they said that there was another route to get past that pitfall.
And they could give everyone an early level leap/teleport/spirit walk so that they can put in parts like that. It would essentially be like giving everyone a jump by default, just in a cooler way. And then you have skills to add utility/damage.
Well then that would just split up groups in co-op
If they do this it would be funner. Five different paths starting at the same point and ending at a certain one. You could do it so that the barb goes a route where leaping up down and across places is a normal thing and for the wizard locked rooms where you have to teleport out. It would just make the game interesting to the point that you don't knwo if you'll have your team the whole way through the game.

Well what if you have one way the wizard, monk, and 5th class can go, and another way the barb and witch doctor can go. If you have a group with a witch doctor, a barb, and a monk, then you have someone having to solo the way when the other way has 2. It could lead to some places being impossible without a certain group.
Or they could simply put an action triggered movement.... like " perform Cross" and the char does a special leap for his or her class. It's not hard to do, involves some original moves and it doesn't need a special skill.

people would end up dead if there were enemies around, Bashiok already said "stay together or die" for multiplayer. and places without enemies are boring places i think
anyway, i think it was Jay Wilson that said that this place that required Leap in the first gameplay video was just made to show off how the barb can leap really far away and kill stuff. the first gameplay vid was staged and not part of the game as it will be released so there wont be a need for such ways to move around.
I would love to see the special areas that only a certain character can go to (a class skill or ability that the class has) but it should be only the optional quests that have that option.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.

Which is just stupid, since blizzard so proudly claims that the game is so hard in multiplayer that people need to stick together at all times to have the slightest chance of surviving.
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.

Er, where did they claim that? On several occasions they have said that you will be able to solo the game easily.

Soloing the game easily in single player(duh!), yes. Not in multiplayer.
But now that I think about it, with the limited skill choices, will this be effected?
