I'm not anticipating a Rogue because of previous skills, but because of the idea and concept of the character. Amazon was more of a melee/physical caster type, while a Rogue is more acrobatic and more likely to use bows and daggers.
They ask what I want to see return, and I said necromancer. Why? Because I like him. We know the fifth class is not a returning class, but it would still be cool to keep playing the necromancer.
Is that where they got the character for Heroes of Newerth from? The panda dude, he looks exactly like him and he does karate and shit.. I guess so, lol.
Yes, there will be no playable character from D1 and D2 in D3, but surley in the expansion of D3, there are speculations about seeing the Necromancer and Paladin in the D3 expansion.
Question for all of you:
If Diablo was based on playable angels, demons and minions from both sides, would you play it? If the case was that D1 was playable humans and D2 was playable heaven/hell characters?
It would have been interesting if we first fought as humans, then the enemy and at last as humans again. Still, it would have been hard to justify our cause while playing as angels/demons against humans.

The pandaren are from Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. There you've got a hero named Pandaren Brewmaster, who drenches his enemies in alcohol, lights them on fire with a fiery breath and is an all-out drunken brawler.
And since HoN is pretty much DotA (which is made using W3:FT) I can see them using the pandaren, since they are awesome

Fluffwise, I don't think Angels and Demons could be a very integral part of Sanctuary's struggle.
AFAIK Sanctuary (or the world of men) cannot be intervened by the likes of either the high Heavens or Hell. If one side does, the other side is allowed to put an equal amount of influence. This is mentioned somewhere in the Diablo books (I think The Black Road). This is why Tyrael does not accompany you into Hell in D2, or why basically you're alone against the Three Prime Evils.
How are the Prime Evils allowed to fuck shit up in Sanctuary? Well, ultimately it was the fault of men, who allowed their souls to become corrupt by Hell.
Prince Albrecht was Diablo's first "vessel", and his vanquisher ultimately succumbed to the corruption of his soulstone (jamming it into his own forehead).
Marius takes the soulstone from Tal Rasha (once a champion of light, imprisoned himself in the tombs near Lut Gholein, eternally combating Baal within himself) but ultimately cedes it to Baal (disguised as Tyrael).
Various nefarious NPCs in D2:LOD allow Baal to bypass the Nephelem, and Baal draws closer to corrupting the Worldstone, believed to be a barrier protecting Sanctuary from the meddling of both Heaven and Hell. After Baal's defeat, Tyrael (the essence of Justice and one hell of a kickass bro) destroys the Worldstone, sensing the stone's corruption by Baal.
Now that the barrier is gone, Heaven and Hell are presumably allowed free reign within Sanctuary. Diablo and his bros will likely march all over that place, and there are even Angels that would like to see Sanctuary destroyed (it being a machination of Inarius, traitor to both Heaven and Hell).
The Fluff was nice, thanks. Very nice read. I have the books, but bad light in my room, I will read the Archive of Diablo soon.
I think playable demons and angels is something for other games, not Diablo-series, even if its cool. Being a man (or female) and kick high powered enemies is a joy.
The necro would of been badass to see, I mean just because of the updates in graphics and everything. They could do a lot of really cool stuff with him.
i think they should not have even brought back the barb cuz now people just want more and more. they didnt bring any back from d1 to d2 why should they for this.

Question: What class do you want to see return in Diablo 3?

I, however, would like to see the Rogue come back from D1.

She didn't have anything special except fire arrows fast, but the amazon could do the same, but with much more interesting moves.
Unless you're talking about the spells that everyone in D1 could use, which were okay, but would make it pointless imo
Either Rogue or Pandaren
Go Pandaren!

I've still got D2 for my necro stuff anyway
Pandaren are awesome, for they bring Pandamonium!

Yeah right. Look at barb, it's quite a bit different than what it was in D2, so you think if they bring back Rogue it will be just like in D1?
RIP: Demon Hunter: lvl 50 | Barb: lvl 60 (plvl 5) | Monk: lvl12 & lvl70 (plvl 200)

Sorry for the fluff lesson!
