Anyone know if blizzard is going to be doing anything with dual monitors for Diablo III? I think it would be pretty cool if you could have on 1 screen the game and the other screen a map, your inventory, stats, skills, chat screen, a combination of them, or whatever they want. Of course it could be more work than it's worth.

I really doubt it since not that many people run two monitors. It would be cool though. I'd take a monitor from my non-gaming comp and hook it up to my gaming one if that were the case.

The wont do it simply because of the lack of people using them, and the alack of people thaat have advanced enough computers to dual monitor for any real benefit. If you just do it you wind up with more lag and other issues, you really need an expensive computer for it to be worth it.
My brother always bought and ran some of the highest comps, we used to build them too, so If I wanted to, we could build one in a few days pretty nice for a but of coin to run it, but its not really worth it, there not going to do much with it.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
I would want a dual monitor set up for doing Mechanical Engineering work because one monitor would be my Model Space and the other would show all my icon and tools and such that I would use.
Not for gaming though, unless I could run two games at once.

I have my laptop connected to a docking station which is connected to a second monitor. Heck if i had it my way id have three monitors lol. Lots of people like to multitask and even with a widescreen monitor which could allow you to have two full size windows open side by side its def awesome to have other things like instant messages on another monitor. Im down for diablo 3 using dual monitors hahahaha
That is actually a good point. It takes ages for me to tab down most games, so changing a song in Spotify is not an option. It would be nice to have a second screen for that.
It would also be nice to be able to monitor a website while doing other things.
Multitasking is expensive ^^
oh yeah dual monitors is very nice. i remember when a friend of mine said that i could use his wow account and make a character. i had wow on one screen and a web page on the other. it really helps.
for your music question about skipping. i run a laptop. so i just hit (Fn+right) and it will skip the song without you leaving your game. and i have diablo 2 in window mode so if i dont like the song thats up i can see that but with dual screen no need. im sure if you run a desktop you should be able to have a shortcut to next song when your doing something. either that or if you have a keyboard that has media player functions on it.
Some of these things would be no pain at all if all games adopted the no-border window screen thing.
Games like TF2 have it, and WoW does have it now, I think.
Basically, it runs the game in a windows, but remove the borders. Have it at your desktop's resolution and bam, its as if it was in full screen, BUT you can alt + tab or use anything else with 0 lag and all that.

First, I want to tell the other guy that the point of having more than one screen is for efficiency and multitasking. Also, if your doing something more "industrial" like programming a game, engineering, webdesign...or just writing a paper, its very useful. I only use 1 monitor, but I have a really good, no, amazing mouse to help me multi task.
For Emilemil1, you should look into: "The Logitech Mediaplay Mouse".
It has the regular left & right click buttons, and a wheel. Now the extras that it has is volume control on the left side, and track selection on the right side. If you hold (next song) it fast forwards, and vice versa. It has a play, pause button in the middle, and another button under the wheel that is by default opening a media program, but the great part about the mouse is that you can change what each button does (I make the middle button close applications)
Also, for the internet, it has a forward and back button, so you never have to go to the corner in the window to go back.
I just open itunes in the backround, and press the buttons on the mouse

I think that if more gaming companies made a dual screen option more people would buy them. I mean monitors don't become obsolete very quickly. Most people use them until they break. So It would only be an expense every 4 or 5 years. 2 $150 moniors isn't that bad when it's over a period of time that long.
Doesn't Command a Conquor 3 use dual monitors? 1 for the game and one for a map? I never played the game, that's just what I heard.

I prefer simple mouses with 2 buttons and a wheel. I like to keep things as cheap as possible
I bought my current mouse over a year ago, and it is still running on the same battery (no charging)
EDIT:
EPIC!!!! I just figured out that I could change some things about my mouse. I changed the wheel button to play/pause, the left tilt to display desktop and the right tilt to play the next song.
(quick desktop display is essential if you want to have fun with your computer in school during class)
thats cool, I bought my mouse in Israel for about 40$ worth. I've had this mouse for 5 years??? I think, but if you use it a lot, it could eat through batteries every few months.

I don't have too much lag trouble.
People have little interests in dual monitors, because almost no games offer anything of interest for them.
The only other reason I'd want that, are small and meaningless enough for me to just forget about it.
Not for gaming though, unless I could run two games at once.
I only had dual running for a couple months and loved it. hahaha.
My preference actually would be 3 maybe. hahaha.
1 for gaming
2 for music
3 for random activity's hahahahaha

But not a lot of games have that...
I personally got one of those and I must add on their absolute awesomeness.
Tabbing can kill you in an instant!
So many possibilities. It has it's perks along with it's downfalls. ..as does anything.
