i was thinking if they added an injury sistem on D3... maybe i am suggesting this because i am a real fan of metal gear solid series but it would be great if your hero can take damage to the town and ask the people can heal him for gold. and if that injury drop the stadisctic of the hero and his health untill he gets cured.^_^
i cant think in the way it works . but to me its a awesome idea to make your hero more human and even credible, and it takes status effects like poison more dangerous and a priority to heal it quick
also adds a idea of posible skills to resist o cure this..:D
what do you think?
PD: sorry about the inglish is not my native lenguage and if something is wrong i apologize...
I'm guessing you didn't quite understand the forum you were posting in, but you posted this in Site Suggestions and Questions, which is only for website-related questions and ideas, not Diablo III questions and ideas. Anyway, I moved it to Diablo III Game Ideas and Suggestions. No biggy.
I would love to have stuff like that in D3, but surely most people dislike this concept.
For me D3 should be alot more based at dungeon crawling and surviving... You should have the tools to avoid all the damage (like blocks, stealth) but one damage taken would hurt you badly.
The game should be alot more strategic... Hack'n Slashing already takes no skill, if they don't put something complicated the gameplay becomes oversimplified like D2.
That's the whole point of Diablo. Simple, quick hack n' slash action.
Well, adding tactics and thinking in the game is FAR from bad, and I think Blizzard want that, compared to the way-too-simple D2 gameplay.
But the suggestion here is just punitive, does not suit the gameplay and would just slow it down. It doesn't fit and should not (and will not) be added.
if it slows down the game, what is for enjoy? you want to finish the game in one night, that will be boring adictive but boring. i mean you have to repair your equip, revive your mercenary( i mean D2 of course) go to the town to see how the quest goes. and with all that you still have a choice about if you want to revive your merc, if u want to repair or to change your equip for something you got in the inventary, or to keep exp?oring after the quest botton jump into the screen and just ignore it.
the idea od injuries could make diablo 3 more exited, you can always enter in a dungeon in a rambo style but you will get hurt, and you can still be killing as many monster untill you get kill or you get bored, that doesnt slow donw the gameplay it only makes it dinamic. and it makes you feel stronger.
and what if you have to really heal your self , then you can go to the town, heal yourself, reppair the equipment, revive your merc, and see how the wuests is going.
i even know people who go to town just to talk with the villagers, it stills funny anyway.. =)
I like the idea but its one of those ideas that i can live without, it does add realism but i just dont think we need it in D3.

ya, i agree. I don't think it would add anything to the game except adding another responsibility to take care of, like repairing equipment.

Nobody is going to be beating Diablo III in one night.
