No way D3 will come first.
It's a shame that SC2 was delayed but i still believe it will come out this year.
...
...he clearly said it wouldn't be coming out in 2009. He wouldn't say something like that unless they were sure that was the case. If there was still a possibility of it coming out in 2009, he would have just announced a delay as opposed to including actual years in his announcement.
An analyst also pressed Blizzard COO Paul Sams if the company would generate non-"World of Warcraft" related revenue in 2009. Sams said Blizzard intends to release one "frontline" title per year, but would not disclose if that would be "StarCraft II," "Diablo III" or a new "WoW" expansion for 2009.
I simply want to mention that this '1release/year rule' isn't something set in stone... By delaying SC2 to next year(and since we know that D3 isn't ready at all), they already broke it since their last release was in november 2008. The way it was said, it was also including WoW expansions, so we can't really say SC2-2010 Diablo3-2011...
Also, when they announced that SC2 was delayed, they said :
Over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that it will take longer than expected to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward.
I don't know how their development teams are structured, but I'm pretty sure that the team who's working on Battle.net isn't the same than the one developing the core of the games. Of course they will work on polishing SC2 a bit more, but I think they'll send a part of the developers on their other projects kinda soon, so the other projects shouldn't be delayed that much...
Anyway it's only what I think... and hope

If you can't amaze people with your intelligence, confuse them with your bullshit.
Not to mention I doubt that, when delays such as these occur, they will keep to the 1 game a year rule. Just because they have to push SC2 to the first half of 2010 doesnt mean that D3 can't come out in the 2nd half of 2010. If they were to do that, then it would push back ALL of their projects, which is something I don't see happening because of a delay in the new Battle.net.
