I got bored of wow. Off and on for a while, Diablo was always way funner but the WOW inventory was great, is great.
I love how people like classify gamers. Like if you dont count your not cool or something. And "hardcore gamers" is just a super cool way to say you have no life honestly.
Placing labels on people in regards to video games is just stupid. If they have an opinion that is mildly relevant then it does in fact COUNT.
If one thing they know how to do, or should know how to do is inventory. They had a decent one in D2 by its standards but now they are trying to improve it. I'm all for the new invo.

Many people like the new inventory.
I find nothing wrong with it, the new system is pretty neat.
I like how we'll be able to expand our inventory with more bags, and I like how we'll be able to sort things more effectively.
Sure, I'm going to miss inventory tetris, but come on, it got tedious after a while.
Edit: I have to agree with Umpa, the WoW inventory was much better.
Keeping something the same just because it has a "diablo" feel to it is kinda stupid, if it can be improved upon to make the game better, then improve it.

Yes that inventory added a feeling. A feeling of sufocation and frustration because you couldnt carry 3 items with you, specially after lore and the charm madness.
This new one is not perfect, but it's fine. You have a tab for equipament, one for consumables and for quest items, organized, fast and the items are not micro icons.
And call people that play wow noobs only prove that you are a helpless troll. I bet that theres a freaking huge amount of wow players more mature and with much larger understanding of gaming then you.
Well come on, he's right.
Don't mean to sound like a WoW advocate, but it had some great features that they could add into D3.
WoW took things from D2, and now in turn, D3 will be able to take those refined features and use them for itself.

I love the new inventory :D. Sure Tetrising you inventory was fun..... for a little. Pretty soon my inventory would get so full of potions that when something good dropped (and of course it would be something HUGE that takes up half your inventory) I would have no room. So New> Old in my opinion.
So lets see you consider arranging items around your inventory fun?
I love how d3 is changing the system .
I hate d2 and tq's (titan quests) system.
I seriously dont understan how you enjoy arranging stuff in your inventory.
OP are you female cuz that would explain it.
Me as a man i want to just run around and kill demons.
I dun wanna spend hours making my inventory look pretty and neat so i have enough space for other items.
Anyway this thread is worse than people complaining about no durability and infinite arrows in d3.( It's more fun so stop complaining)
Anyway OP don't buy d3 just keep playing d2 and you'll be happy.
Im sure blizzard wont change the inventory system(why would they anyway ) they have now so gues you should stick to d2 forever and ever.

Basically you just cited a legitimate reason for making my inventory look pretty and neat: so I can have enough space for other items.
At any rate, I don't care much for the grid system either. But even it could've been easily improved if you could select multiple items at once to move from one place to another. Like if you have a bunch of runes, to be able to hit CTRL on each one and have them all movable at once so you're not dragging your mouse back and forth like crazy. And all that got even worse when playing Eastern Sun just because there were so many more items you wanted and saved.
and please, WoW noobs who only started gaming after you played WoW, dont comment. You dont count, you arent actually gamers, your idea of a "good game" is a card game with unimaginative stories and unoriginal avatars...
that part of your post just made your whole post about the inventory useless. more of a trolling.
I've played D1 and D2 since the release.. and I've also played WoW. WoW has nothing to do with the inventory, that kind of inventories you can see in so many RPG for example Baldurs Gate.
D2 inventory is clumsy and I really can't see how it adds so much to the game.. maybe because you have to spend so much time moving the items.
I was annoyed at first bcuz it would not be diabloish...but I dont care now. I mean really its JUST THE INVENTORY its actually helping out the gameplay how they are doing it this time
diablo 2 and diablo 1 were like the first games i beat for computer ever, before i even had internet, and i can say im fuckin glad to see the old shitty ass ful inventory go. and a wow-like one introduced. cudos blizzard.

Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could
For anyone to even hate the new inventory system cause it's WOWish is kind of lame. Why dismiss any good ideas just because they come from a game you don't like?

The only problems I have with D3 atm are the inventory system and the lack of potions...
The current inventory makes no sense... an axe will be bigger than a scroll, and so will take up more space....
After they get a little leeway on the stupid, we get 100% human enemies with no magical enhancements who are 30 feet tall... and massive fucking shoulders that do nothing to protect you... that dont even look cool...
People who play WoW arent noobs, people who didnt game at all before they played WoW are noobs...

bro it's not suposed to make sense it's suposed to be more fun to play.
jay Wilson said in his interview clearly that they are going to take out evrything in the game that made people get bored during it.(example arranging items)
And you say it dosent make sense that a axe takes as much space as a scroll.
Ok listen to this..
So you open your inventory and you have i dont know maybe 120 potions, a couple of helmets and shilds and hmm lets say 2 swords and 1 axe.
Does it make sense to carry all those weapons around.
I mean how the hell can your character even walk with that much shit on him.
No that dosent make sense but its fun collecting new items.
Would you like them to change it so you have a limit lets say 1-2 weapens, 1 piece of armor and maybe 2 potions.
Would that make a bit more sense? Yes it would.
Would that be fun. ? NO it wouldent.
And for the potions thing.
Well how about you attack a boss with your 1000 potions in your backpack. just click the boss hold the mouse over him and start watching tv. While watching tv just spam the potion hotkey. The boss should be dead by the time the adds are on.
But see in my non 35982349582958 potions version i have to acctually play the game.
Run around time my attacks chose my spells wisely etc.
I cant just sit there and spam one button I have to focus to acctually kill the boss.
This makes the game more intense and more fun to play witch is what every1 wants.
Inventory Tetris WAS fun why? because it added some little immersion to the game. It DOES make sense that sword takes more space than a scroll or potion so why bother change it? Just because some people think its too much to ask for? This isn't WoW nor any other game it is Diablo and this franchise had some great features: Inventory Tetris and Light Radius just to name some that will be heavily missed in D3.
Considering that out of every1 in this thread only 2 people agree with the OP I can say that you are wrong.
Obviously Inventory Tetris IS NOT and WONT EVER be heavily missed in D3.

Added immersion??? I guess it did in a way but its still a very outdated and very annoying aspect of the game. It was taken out so that it would not be another annoyance again and distract from the action like it did on times in D1 and D2.
I really dont know why light radius is going to missed....who cares about a useless stat?
Bashing WoW as an argument doesn't work very well. I'm not a WoW player, and I don't particularly care for the game, but I know a well designed game when I see one. Its inventory system is very simple and user friendly.
D2's inventory is not very hard to use either, and I do like it, because I'm an art-geek and love the large and more detailed item icons that you don't find in WoW. But for most people, the constant rearranging required in the inventory, is a waste of time, so I support their decision to get rid of it. More fighting, and less standing around sorting your stuff, is both good for you, and good for your party. :]
Now this new one... just... omg... the hell? This takes a huge piece of Diablo out of this game...
really upsetting....
And honestly. The wow inventory owns Diablo.
I got bored of wow. Off and on for a while, Diablo was always way funner but the WOW inventory was great, is great.

Not bad but boring and pointless.
See you use your brain to count to a 100.
Is it bad if you count to 100 every day?
No it isen't.
Is it boring and pointless?
Yes it is.
Btw i played diablo when I was 9-10 and I managed to arrange my items with np.
So i don't acctually think you need to use your brain that much.
Again like i said before the old inventory system is crap and im glad they changed it.

if you wanted more light radius turn your brightness up on your screen there ya go xD
inventory tetris never will be and has been fun for me
especially how perfect it has to be to me
i cant even have 1 little space look out of alignment or its like a little gnome constantly poking me for hours on end xD
so for those kind of ppl it helps a lot to get rid of that =3
Be my Buddy =^.^=
