There were many discussions about this in the beginning, when the gameplay trailer first released (before wizard).
Everyone was curious what will happen with traveling skills because we saw that the Barbarian had it, but so far, not the witchdoctor. People were also skeptical of teleport, and many people including myself weren't too sure we want it back (as fun as it is).
I am pretty sure that all 5 classes will each have their own traveling skill. that is 2/3 revealed characters so far, and their are only maybe 7 witchdoctor skills revealed.
What kind of travel attacks would you want for the witchdoctor, or maybe a warrior?
In d2 the paladin had a type of travel attack, I think it was called charge?

"Not Even Death Can Save You From Me" ~ Diablo (II)
Witch Doctor Travel
A) Witch Doctor will be able to enter a "ghost form" and walk over or through obstacles.
Turns into some sort of creature that can fly/crawl/leap over obstacles
C) ???
But "travel" skills to every single class is pointless. It just takes out the "personality" of the classes.
I'm also 100% sure that we will not need a travel skill to beat the game because not all wizards will have teleport (it's deeply located in the arcane tree). Also not all barbs will leap (it's deeply located in the berserker tree).
And unlike D2, we will have to spend a heavy amount of points in a tree to get the "deep" skills, not only 1 point in the pre requisits.
The travel skills will be just a way to engage your enemy or scape from difficult situations.
I kno you're not saying that "travel skills" will be needed to beat the game, it's just that i see no point in why every class should get one.
