I went back to playing Diablo for awhile today. And going through the olde town, theres one thing that violently jumped into my mind:
While playing A1Q3 of Diablo II we visit old tristram. THere are bodies literd all over the grounds, leading poeple to believe that the only one that "survived" was griswold, and we put a stop to that. People believe due to the corpses in the places where our old NPC friends used to stand, menas there all dead.
But think, couldnt they be unnamed soldiers? If your town was being saced, pilalged, and destroyed by demons, wouldnt you call for help? Who is to say the corpsses arent those of the failed reinforcements?? And even the corpses of Griswold and wirt looked errily similar to those drom Diablo, why couldnt blizzard just use old images to render quick corpses for the town.
I think that means the NPCs that will be joing us in Diablo III will include (atleast some of) the Diablo NPCs. So by that, possible NPCs that could see their return would comprise of:
*DIABLO: Adria, Farnham, Ogden + wife, Gillian, and Celia and lester(if blizz goes along with the largely defamed Hellfire)
First off, that concept doesnt prove anything, because D3 was finally revealed in JUNE of 08, and They stated Diablo3 went under many concept changes, that pic is dated 2007, so it isnt necessarily confirming it.
And thaats the thing, the soldiers DIDNT look like them, they were one single graphic, which leads more to believeing there soldiers. adns omonme said they were all by where they stood in diablo, doesnt it make sense the soldiers were chrged to guard the houses after the townsfolk fled? And yea, we have no idea whats with izuall, his spirit appeard which means he still exists in some form.
It isnt bad writing to say the villagers fled and the king of Westmarch ordered soldiers to watch over tristram, since it was rumored thats where Diablo was first vanquished.
Oh, and read this on Nihlahtak
"His death animation implies that he was indeed dragged into Hell to suffer for all eternity, as Anya scornfully remarks that he should." If so, he is still survivng in one form or another.
Alot of this is indeed plausible seeing as blizzard would obviously want to go a path most people wouldnt expect.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
Getting there on time could be argued that the king of westmarch sent them there when the first rumors of diablo came, by then, he is already killed by the hero, and they decide to stay at town while the king thinks theve been working (the diablo books have been full of soldier lazyness as such), and I didnt mean Nithal-whatever returning an as NPC the second post, that was just arguing his death, and his deathquote is from blizzards site and our wiki that contains the gossips and chats of NPCs, it also has his dialog during the quest, including after death. He was drug to hell
**and we know personally an army of regular soldiers cant stop the demons, but diablo lore is full of forces and armies underestimating the demons

very bottom of page before the links to other act5 NPCs,
His death animation implies that he was indeed dragged into Hell to suffer for all eternity, as Anya scornfully remarks that he should.
Woy were right on one aspect, not a quote, its a trivia piece. My bad, but I think that shows even more them putting the aspect that he may survive in one form a hint.

His death animation implies he was dragged into hell... either way it says he died.
No matter to where he went afterwards. It's quite possible he could come back - but it won't be as a living human.

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
I didnt say human, i said alive in one FORM or another. And I exed his chance as an NPC im my second post, it became an issue of just could he or couldnt he, and he could, anything In hell can return, if blizz wants it too lol

True is true. Only blizz makes the fat black mage (no racism meant), return as the heavily armourd, severly slimmed, summoner all alone in another realm.

Ugg, one with legendry brand, most of people don't like it at the first sight because the appearance is very ugly and cumbersome. Nowadays blowing a gust of prevailing trend all over the world, the most important reason is that America and Europe stars bring the mainstream of this fitful wind.Australia Uggbegins to grow from a small surfing articles brand to the global and famous luxurious brand of leather boots only in a short time. And in the beginning, there only are some sheep leather boots, but it had increased adopt masterpiece playshoes, slippers, and ugg boots of different season that used sheepskin after later.

*DIABLO IIa3: Alkor, Asheara, Hratli, Natalya, Ormus
*DIABLO IIa4: Hadriel, Halbu, Jamella, Izual(his spirit dissappeared, its unconfirmed what came of him)
*DIABLO IIa5: Anya, Larzuk, Malah, Nihlathak, Qual-Kehk
What do you guys think? And whos your best bet for returning?

I highly doubt he'd return as a NPC...
