I don't know why but I have the unshakeable feeling that they're going to change the way items are identified.
And yet I do not see how they could, it at least to me seemed perfect the way it was. How could they possibly improve upon the D2 identifying structure?
I don't know what makes you feel like they're going to change it. We see red scrolls in the gameplay video, when the barbarian equips his new stuff he finds in that trap.
They should definitely leave that aspect of the game untouched. I liked having that moment of anticipation to see what the stats were going to be. Also some people like to trade unidentified stuff around, although I was always too curious to trade away my unid stuff.
nothing indicates that they're going to change it. There is an identify scroll in the gameplay video and all of the items that have some magic enchantment we see drop dont show any pre/suffixes while the ones used by the barbarian do.

So iff'n y'all don't mind (and even if ya do), I'll just be closin' this here thread.
