Alright, I admit that this is kinda silly, but sometimes the most simple ideas can really add to a game's world.
When you search a mutilated corpse in D3, I think some of them should seep out a bit of blood upon shifting. Also, some of them should fall apart and reveal either a skull face or some bones that fall out of the armor. Nothing too big though as it shouldn't distract from the items that are found through searching these corpses.
And that's it. Simple. Almost boring, but if a corpse seeps out a little puddle of blood or it turns out to have a rotten skull for a face it adds just another tinge of horror and eeriness and even danger to the game.
