I was reading on some of the updates givin on some of the online gameplay. Don't know if it's accurate but somewhere I read like Large Cooperative play? Does this mean stupid missions that need like 5 or more people or even WOW proportioned parties to get through dungeons? I remember you only needed SOME help on hell mode on D2 with a good group...I liked Diablo over WOW for the fact that you don't have to rely entirely on groups and you can group when you need some assistance. but for looting and other things...the less the better IMO.
Does anyone have some answers on this? I'm curious and hoping the parties don't get any larger than they have in the past, that would actually be a deal breaker for me. . . I love diablo but I just dislike the whole large parties enough for it to be a deal breaker for me. so I just don't want to get my hopes up too much before I start like really tracking updates and posting opinions.
last note...I played WoW and hated it, I couldn't play it for more than like a couple of weeks. I'm not a diablo freak or anything but it's a classic game and I loved it for the gameplay it has and want to continue playing the legacy the way it WAS.
plus, you gotta remember, there's a single player mode for this game... so you can go through the whole game alone, you wont need 40 man raids to kill a boss =/
I think the co-op play should support 8 players per room or less, because look at the current Diablo II games, 8 people can do a hell baal run easily in less than 2 minutes.... not fun. and whats sad is most of the time there's only one or 2 main damage dealers and the rest are there to leech exp.
I used to actually do that with my h-din, I used to rush and lvl the rest of my clan members while they just laid back and collected exp.

Yeah. Party cap at least to 4-5 players. It would be nice to see some others in the game also even if not in your party. 8-12 game limit, 4-5 party limit.
One thing I learned from playing Diablo, beginning with the first game in the series, was that I needed to use my head as much as my weapon. I don't have a clue what D3 is going to be like for loners, but with all previous games I was able to kill anything I wanted by being careful, moving cautiously, devising a strategy, making plans, and not being afraid to run or jump through a portal.
Though some of what I saw in the gameplay video just might undo all that loner learning. I hope that by the time D3 comes out I will have made a few friends to go demon hunting with. It really is more fun when you are with others.

I believe it was stated that the game can be beaten solo by any class.
That's good to know. I just wasn't hoping that they would be giving more perks to people who make groups aside from people who like to also solo it most of the time. which is what I like to do, solo it for the most part and have a couple of buddies that I co-op with. Maybe I misunderstood what it ment by "large cooperative gameplay." or whatever I read, and I actually didn't find a thread of Q&A till after the fact I posted.
