In reference to this picture below (Credits to whoever that did edit that picture, i'm just using it for reference in the discussion):
We knew that we have the standard equipment slots such as:
a. Helmet
b. Necklace
c. Upper Armor (Body)
d. Lower Armor (Pants)
e. Belt
f. Ring x 2 slots
g. Main/Off-Hand Weapons
h. Gloves
i. Shoulder Armor
j. Boots
How about Bracers? Cloaks? I'm sure the Barbarian or the Paladin would look awesomely cool if they have the 'Cloak' equipment slot. They'll look more like an epic character
Also there's a slot that marks as '?'. My rough guesses is that it's some sort of like an 'Artifact' slot like Titan Quest Immortal Throne.
Any other equipment slots you have in mind or would like to see in D3? More slots means more customization options for players be in eye candy and more damage/power to your character
WoW? Do you have any better idea of linking it to WoW at all? Most of the action rpgs have the equipment slot for you to equip your characters. So you are implying to play D3 without any abilities to equip your character at all? Then might as well play an adventure game then *shakehead*

Ugh, did you even read the second thing I posted?
ANYTHING in D3 that resembles WoW people are going to shoot down. I don't have too much of a problem with it, but lots of others will.
WOW copied it's inventory form other games, I don't see that inventory as WOW-like. Except for maybe the shoulder pads thing. Neverwinter Nights had different bags or pages of inventory, and it was out years before WOW.
And it's not Weaponsx2. It is main hand/off hand.
The reason you see two weapons is it is the barbarian, a character synomynous with using two weapons.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I don't think it resembles anything with WoW at all. Most action RPGs has the feature of equipping your character with equipment slots, even the original Diablo. What's it has got to do with WoW?
Edit
Yup you are right Elfen :). I just can't remember the correct wording to describe it. It's best describe as Main/Off hand weapon.
I think there should be some trinkets like in WoW that do cool stuff like the demon bag or the cannonball summoner from ud strath! would be so awesome,I can't wait for this game to come out.
Diablo 3 does not need a cloak slot. The previous games didn't emphasize the characters having a cloak and so should this game. And since there should be an even number of equipment slots (since it is split in half by the middle), the next unimportant equipment slot that doesn't need to be there are the bracers.
Everything related to RPGs was born from Dungeons and Dragons or other RPGs on paper. Not video games.
Pretty much yes, but since most are not old enough or err geeky enough to know about DnD. I would say the computerised versions weren't bad. They were pretty much direct coversions, or at least as close as could be.
Go Baldur's Gate II.
I see a lot of similarities here. And Baldur's Gate II has 6 years on WOW.

You are implying D3 does not need a cloak slot because previous game did not emphasize on the characters having cloak? Look, if you want everything to be exactly the same as previous Diablo, then why not just play previous game? There's no regulation saying that improvements/additions/changes can't be made in a new game. Unimportant, i believe that's just your personal preference.
More items would mean they'd have to tone down items they already have or make all the enemies stronger, I doubt we'll see anymore for now.
Well if you watched the gameplay footage, i'm sure you have heard .. "There is no such thing as too much power" :P.
Jokes aside. I think you brought in gameplay balance just to vote your negativity towards for diversities in equipment slots does not justify. You can have gameplay balance too with 'fewer' equipment slots.
Look at how many equipment slots you have in the original Diablo. Compared it with Diablo 2. Should they revert back to the number of equipment slots in Diablo 2 to Diablo 1 according to your point of view?

No no, I'd LOVE to see more equipment slots and new items. Just the way things are laid out already they'd have to weaken items overall or they'd have to make all the mobs stronger to balance things out.

Well the gameplay footage we've seen may be just a very earlier build for demo purposes. Nothing is finalize yet and the game is still early in development

Blizzard please read the above which i fully agreed with
I wouldn't mind. Diversity isn't a bad thing.

Also, don't be mistaken by 'darkness' and 'detail'. I would like to see more detail other than more darkness.
