yes, the people who want a true sequel such as myself and the people who dont want diablo to stay with its roots and have rainbows, pastel colors, and oversized armor...end of story.
Backseat game designers - we require more darker coloring! We require sharper details! WE REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS!
People that trust in teh Blizzards - Eh, I'm sure they'll make a great game regardless. They've already stated their reasons for the color anyway. They've never had a problem with creating an atmosphere before.
No, you have the vocal whiny, knee-jerk reactionary minority going apeshit and wetting themselves at the first sign of change, and the competent / mature majority who Trust in Blizz and know everything will be fine.
The battle has BEGUN!!!!!We are the community who buy plays and supports blizzards diablo series....if we want the art direction changed blizzard should do so 16,000 plus already signed the petition!

What about a third category of a mix of the both?
'I think the game needs darker colouring, but I'm sure it will be an excellent game even if they don't change it.'
There is no battle. If people don't like it enough, they won't buy it. It's that simple. Seems like most people are getting sick and tired of hearing people whine about the graphics, so thanks for creating YET ANOTHER THREAD on the subject.
Yes, a "Diablo-Fan Civil War" is likely.. Many, many people will die, but, in the end, we will all come back together even stronger once the game is released, and the game is truly awesome enough so that the "whiners" will know they paniced for very little reason. I just weap for the poor souls who died for nothing before this madness is stopped..
(Notice the many parallels to the actual Civil War. Divided we (Diablo Fans) fall; together we stand .. Just kidding, it's not that dramatic.)

He was asking if the Diablo fan-communty had become divided - not asking for one party's downgrading view on the other party...
I think rofflewoffles put it more "objectively".
- One group are sceptical about the game's coloration based on the gameplay video and screenshots provide so far.
- The other group don't care so much about the details of this issue, but rather trust Blizzard's decisions and abilities to make a great game.
- There might also be a third group - those who want to see an evolution in the Diablo series, and thus welcoming the more WoW-ish look of the new game.
No problem kiserai that people want to express their opinion on a long awaited game as a fanatic. We are Diablo Fans and from what your saying...youre not
I'm not a fan because I trust Blizz to make a great game over the opinions of some whiny forum trawlers freaking out after seeing 2 areas of the game? Are you on meth? I know you're probably only 12 and summer vacation is really boring when you can't drive yet, but give me a break.

I find it sad that either position would claim the other is a sign of not being a true fan. It is 100% perfectly OK for people to disagree. It does not a priori mean one person or the other is stupid, disloyal, or otherwise unsavory.

That's probably where I sit as well - it's a happy compromise.
