There's many softwares out there that can incorporate chat capabilities when playing games. I love the idea of shouting and laughing with friends/party while playing. Please vote whether you'll use chat functions when playing D3.
IMO, It's an advantage to chat while working together as a team, it's much faster to chat compared to typing. Although using this function requires a better internet line to sustain connectivity.
E.G. PC
1. Ventrilo (PC/Smartphones)
2. AV Voizgame
3. Raidcall
4. Pingfu UDP Tunnel
5. Skype
6. Mumble (PC/Smartphones)
7. Steam
Android
1. Mangler
2. Ventriloid
3. TeamSpeak
iPhone
Please advise which are the best and user friendly chat softwares around if you're familiar with them.
Definitely Ventrilo, they're all good but my personal preference is Ventrilo. Somewhat easy to use, equalization so you hear everyone at the same volume (yes even those who like to eat their microphones while talking!), push to talk. Nice and easy when it comes to playing with friends or randoms!

Yes, I'll be using Skype whilst playing with friends.
Like you said, I love to be able to scream/laugh like silly with my friends when something exciting happens in a game!
This. Nothing more fun than chilling on skype with a few friends while blasting the denizens of hell to pieces. After the very first time in beta we all piled into a game we agreed voice coms would have made it so much cooler
I'm disappointed that Blizzard didn't add Voice Chat with release. Even the SC2 Voice Chat would have been fine.
Yeah, I agree with you. In-game chat system from devs is always smoother, with less disconnections. Hopefully Blizzard will add this feature for their players...
Good day , Voice Chat
"For a cooperative game it's a really important feature. It's something that we would like to put in Diablo at some point, but what we want to make sure is when we do we want it to be really high quality." Jay Wilson
Well ... Skype is pretty simple for that purpose but doesn't offer that much functionality ...
I prefer TeamSpeak3 over everything else.
That's mainly due to me using it since playing WoW which is over 7 years now ...
I also enjoy TeamSpeak because I can also connect to my guild server (and any other server i know) from my android phone (TeamSpeak App).
The main reason why i prefer TS over Skype is the Push2Talk function ... also it is pretty useful for gaming purposes that you don't have to switch to your desktop to accept a call because other people can simply join your channel and then talk to you ...
@Docdemort please do not necro 4 year old threads thanks. I've also edited out some of your personal info from your post (might wanna re-think about sharing those).
