I've been playing diablo3 for a while in a really casual way, now i want to gear up my characters.
I'm a ps3 player and i have the "normal" edition (the first diablo edition, to be clear) and i can't upagrade it to ultimate evil edition, to do that i should buy diablo3 again (i can't just buy it as a dlc). Surfing in the net i found out that there are some differences between pc/mac/ultimate evil and my ps3 diablo edition.
I want to ask you all if keep playing is worth or not, i like this game and i like games like "farmerino all the night" to get nice gear, but if there are so many differences between my edition and the others, i really don't know what should i do (i updated it to last version, but there are still differences with pc version).
Another question
if i sell my diablo edition and i buy ultimate evil, do i lose my data? And my items? Or not?
If you've logged into Battle.net your account is saved on their server. If you upgrade on console you can keep your characters. If you switch to PC you will have to start fresh. The console and PC servers are not linked. The only difference in content from PC to console is Seasons. Console doesn't have Seasons. This is because console is playable offline and is susceptible to hacks so seasons would be meaningless. Some forms of trading is alsialso allowed on console. But it is kind of pointless when Blizzard can't stop people from hacking.
If you stay on PS3 the community buffs are usually a bit different. No sure who but they are. For the most part it is the same no matter which platform you play. Same monsters except for the Nemesis monster isn't on PC. Same rifts and same drops except for Morticks Bracers which never made it to PC.
I red that on pc and ultimate evil on console max level is 70, but on my console max level is 60 (plus bonus levels)
I didn't get if changing my diablo edition with ultimate evil can be considered un "upgrade" or not, i think that my console will "see" another game when i put that disk in.
Also i red something about a place called "nephalem rifts" or something like that, that is a place like the pony level and that is up on pc and ultimate evil edition, on mine it isn't.
Cying i know no one cares, but i want an advice, buying an ultimate evil edition would be 45 euros (about 60$) not that cheap xD
I'm not english, i understand what i read, but i need time to read so it's a littke bit difficult gathering information
The game goes on sale every once in a while for PC. But RoS is an expansion so you would need to buy D3 first then expand. So it might be less expensive to stay on console. Sale prices in US for PC have been $20 each so 40 total.
RoS has added a significant amount of content over the original game. The next patch will add even more. Being able to play Adventure mode is a lot better than playing campaign and it allows you to play Rifts. These are random dungeons that have random monsters with a better chance for legendary drops. If you like Vanilla December, RoS is worth the upgrade. Hopefully you can get it at a decent price.
Scrap it on the console and buy both the vanilla game and the expansion on PC. Then start playing once next season launches, likely in the end of August (everyone starts fresh so you won't be behind at all).
Regardless of if you stick to console or not though, if you like the game the expansion is definitely worth the purchase. It adds a lot of content.
Why do you play Diablo ? aren't you tired of killing demons and angels and what nots ? What about your brother ? He doesn't play or he's drunk again ? And what happen with that black thing that comes out of the barn ? you somehow survive that ?
Jokes aside.
I would recommend buying the PC version if you can afford it or if you have a PC. This game has so much to offer with the expansion and the next patch that you won't regret it. I know some people are not pc players and can't stand on playing anything else but console but in this case it's worth it.

The season is underway. Don't know if I'll make it through.
I bought console version because i usually play diablo when i dont want to/can't play on my pc, and when i'm on holiday i can play offline too just by bringing my console with me.
I've always played rpg games on console, i really love my controller and i really suck at aiming with mouse (even if i have a sony pc that i can connect with ps3, i can't connect my ps3 joystick with pc, even with motionenjoy tool).
I don't know what i will do, now i'm still on holiday, probably if in september i'll still be diablo-addicted i'll buy ultimate evil edition.
