Hey guys, just want to make a super quick video explaining what I believe to be a significant buff to season-only legendary item drop rates, to the exclusion of non-season items. While this is just a theory with a strong positive correlation, I think it needs to be toned down a bit. After all, finding more than one Vengeful Wind per hour (I have 7 now, obtained in approximately 4 hours of gameplay) is a little suspect and just a tad annoying. I suppose it could be RNG, but I have my doubts. Enjoy!
my personal pref. is to make zdps crus. (or the more diff case...witch doctor) because you can always boost your party in t6 and spam 35+ speed grifts for shards with the correct group... i guess i may have gotten lucky...found xpherian in 30 min into 70...Either way...Im enjoying season, always watch your videos man. Anyway...I think zdps crus prolly best to start with. easy to gear straight into t6 in a few days and up them gems/xp/shards. Most geared groups will share the loot anyway win/win.
Yea, just not a big fan of zdps especially since you're dependent on having a group. If someone isn't on, you're useless unless you have another set for damage. Monk is pretty easy to gear actually, only need 3 piece Sunwuko + RoRG. Inna's is a bonus. 2 piece Sunwuko already boosts you to T3-4.
After seeing so many players last season find super rare items like SMK and WOW in such a short time frame, I was convinced that the drop rates were buffed. However, being currently ~ paragon 450 on season 2 and not having found squat, I no longer hold this belief.
Everyone will come unglued and go on about rng is rng, but I got my first WOW at about paragon 520 and then found an ancient WOW at about paragon 535. Never found one before and havent found one since those two.I have also found the same leg within 10 minutes of each other, and have seen that happen repeatedly to my clan mates.
As far as seasons, i run a Wizard and the first leg ring I got (after making lvl 70) was the Halo and within the first 5 rifts I got all three of the new leg gems.
Looks to me like the reward system decides it time for you to get this or that and possibly gets stuck on it for a while. lol, the infamous "loot tables"?
Actual loot tables may have some truth to them, though it's never been proven. Yes it's a small sample size, but seriously ... if the drop chance for Vengeful Wind is not exceptionally high when compared to other FISTS, then this is a really REALLY jacked up RNG string. I've actually found 1 more since then, about 1.5 hours later.
When was the last time you found 7 of the SAME thing in less than 10 hours of playtime? That's all I'm saying.
As for super rare items dropping more often (Furnace, SMK, WoW), their drop rates have been recently buffed (confirmed by blue).

On this season I've leveled a p56 HC barb and p29 SC monk, and both of them found a gungdo gear, lol.
