I'm running a fire MM/WoF build that I made on my own. I do all of my playing inpublic groups so suggestions for group running would be most helpful.I die once in a great while in T4 rifts. I can stay alive in T5 by swapping out a couple pieces, but I don't do enough damage to pull my weight. I'd really like to start moving up to T5 and T6, but I'm stuck right now and it feels like I need to do A LOT more damage topull my own weight.I know my RoRG is weak and I'm working on upgrading it. Suggestions on a better build (preferably fire as I have the gear for it) and any gear upgrades would be great. If there's a build of another element that is a lot better, then of course I'd take that suggestion and just change all my gear around. Thanks for your help in advance.
Your gear isn't bad. The biggest issue I see is your passives. You don't need prodigy at all since MM probably does more damage than Wave of Force. I would put Audacity and/or Glass cannon if you have the survivability. And, Unwavering Will is nice but anything that moves you turns off the buff for 1.5 seconds so thats another thing to think about. Another way to get damage is to add in black hole and if you can find room add in strongarm bracers someday since the strongarm proc works with black hole. Also, if you can manage to hit with 3 or more elements then I would definitely use elemental exposure. Lightning from TF for 1 stack, all you fire skills for another, have your follower use a weapon that rolled +cold damage, and and find a way to use arcane or; have your follower use a weapon with arcane damage and find a way to do some cold. Also, you may not want to mess with archon until you have the full vyr set but that's personal preference. I have the same trouble on my wizard, you can faceroll T4 but to go higher you have to sacrifice DPS for toughness and end up stuck. Also, Dominance is only useful if you can kill things really fast so if you can't keep the 10 stacks up i'd switch that out too. GL on the hunt man.
Ohh, I forgot to add that Conflagrate stacks so if you're using that passive you can get a little more crit damage/attack speed and live with a little less crit. I'd say for passives use, Conflag, audacity, blur, and EE, or you could switch audacity for evocation to get Black hole quicker but I think DPS is better right now than having tons of survivability since that doesn't help if things stay alive too long.
You Have MM build, anything you do outside of actually spamming MM is waste of time and DPS.
On thatthought:
Change evocation and illusionist, replace with blur and elemental exposure.
Take off archon , is useless in your setup, replace it with Familiar/Sparkflint.
Replace WoF with Blizzard/Frozen Solid. You can spam this skill for chill effect/slow and add Ice to Elemental Exposure
Replace teleport with blackhole - adds CC, DPS boost and also groups up mobs so MM does a lot more damage.
Replace Storm armor with energy armor + Prismatic armor.
Replace your 78 AR gem with 280 intelligence.
We both know that amulet is atrocious. Get something better asap.
Try to get another Tal-Rasha piece, whatever that would be. Amulet would be amazing , belt works too, chest armor not so much since you don't want to throw that Cidercoat away just yet. Time will come for that too.
Change the Blackthorne pants and boots with Cain's if you have the plan and can craft them.
Anyway, with the chances that I suggested you're going to be able to run without any issues through T5. T6 you'll have to be careful.
Suggestions are based on my build, and you're not far from it at all. I can clean a T4 Rift in less than 10 minutes (Before Energy armor buffs runs out), T5 in about 13-15 minutes depending on level and T6 in anything between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on level. That's with NO UNITY so I have to move around a lot in T6 and that's DPS lost.
Here's my build also if you want to take a closer look.
You need Energy Armor for T5-T6 to stay alive. Drop Heat wave - it's a terrible spender. Take Black Hole instead. Ramp up your CDR and drop your Blackthornes set for Capt Crimsons and Born's. Drop illusionist for Blur. Swap Dominance for Audacity if you need DPS.
Get a strong arm's to help with damage.
Your RoRG is fine - in fact, it's probably going to be great with a legendary gem in it.
You need a new SoJ.
You have a witching hour.
Ultimately, you'll need a WoW to do T6 well. Wiz don't have any good spenders. It takes EB to 3600%ish to have viable dps.
