Gearing: Moonlight Ward is a must, I still use my level 60 version, Attack Speed + Life on Hit its very nice also. If you can get your hands on a well rolled Blind Faith I would highly recommend it also, again still using my level 60 version.
I have 0 Arcane Power on Crit, I think the build would run better with 1 piece of gear with it. This is because I have to watch my AP to time Black Hole and sometimes I just don't have the resources to use it when I want.
Build in Action:http://youtu.be/OrIPiuXl4yU
Due to Unwavering Will, always try and judge if you can stand still and take a hit because chances are you are better off doing so.
Reality: The build has room for change depending on your gear, If I had a weapon that was cold damage I don't think I would be using Frost Armour for an example.
I do sometimes die with this build yes, although as you seen I can also take on 2 packs at the same time occasionally.
Bosses like The Butcher, I can't kill, this build does more damage when you have more monsters around you so struggles in single target DPS races.
Plus note this is quite a sick build in co-op, I grouped with a Barbarian friend last night and we were destroying packs. 20% damage to party due to Elemental Exposure & you could increase this 10% more by taking Cold Blooded. If you think the group is struggling due to Affixes you can easily change the Black Hole rune also.
Anyway hope this helps some people out and have good results with it like I am, happy slaying folks!
I run a variant of this build (this build with Mirrorball), and I have to say Unwavering Will is mostly useless. As a melee, you have to move a lot to make your dps happen. This build makes white mobs die so fast you don't even have the time to take advantage of it, and elites will make you move around to dodge all kinds of affixes, or simply the elite moving. I would love for this passive to be of any use, but sadly I think it is a ranged wizard passive.
About Elemental Exposure, I don't think this build benefits from it, I personally stacked as much arcane skills as I could because if I dropped Prismatic Armor or Deflection, I would be too squishy to handle Torment V. For a lower Torment, I guess it's fine if you're geared enough.
I personally run this build when I'm dealing with boss fights, and Rift Guardians. Makes things melt. I have Gesture of Orpheus so I don't need Illusionist to reposition the Time Warp. A build like this would be cool for your setup. Switch Conflagration for Elemental Exposure if you think 10% damage is worth 6% crit.
Thanks for the feedback, I know all about Illuisonist etc and was trying to make the build slightly different from whats out there.
Unwavering build has it moments of being useless but also extremtly effective, you can ofcourse change it if you wish.
Had some really postive comments back about it, cheers.

I don't understand Elemental Exposure in the boss fight build you linked. You have all Arcane skills, don't you? You probably have something else on your weapon. Do you just run that passive for the 10% bonus dps then? Or does the Familiar give Fire dmg?
Here is another run with the build, slightly tweaked. No shield this time, there is a goblin fail and I manage to pull 2 packs again, watch to see what happens.
Hi Cassanova, Just pass by to say that your build works well for me. I using it as a Tank wizard. Like what you show in the video, I can withstand hordes of monster including Elite one. By doing that, my teammates can finish them off easily. Although i dont have the legendary which you had mention, i using Coven's Criterion (lv70) instead.

Hey SoulQ, glad you have found the build usful! Good news its working for you without a Moonlight Ward, still recommend you get one though.
I've tried the build and liked it, though I don't have any of the "tricky" items. But still there was something that bugged me about it. It's tanky indeed, but it's somehow slow, compared to the most common Frozen Orb build. So I experimented a bit and came up with this: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#WhZOSj!ZiRS!YbYZZa
1st of the things was the low output of damage and extremely close range of Arcane Orbit. In reality you need to shove your nose up enemy butts, to be able to damage them. Instead the Ray of Frost rune Sleet Storm expands to 22 yards around you, cost only 16 Arcane Power, contrary to the 30 from Arcane Orb (Orbit). The damage is single 375% weapon damage, compared to the 236% per orbit, still the range is bigger and the damage goes up high almost as Frozen Orb.
2nd was the Black Hole and it's high cooldown. So I've changed it with Explosive Blast (Short Fuse). The exploasion does 909% weapon damage as fire 12 yards around you with 6 seconds cooldown. Cost 20 Arcane Power.
...
I would like to hear some feedback.
This is a cool build for people without some of the legendaries, but if you have Moonlight Ward, you don't really want to use anything that isn't an arcane spell, since it adds 20-25% to Arcane. I have a 24% Ward, so a non-Arcane build has to be insane for it to come close to my arcane spells.
I've gone more of a tanking route with the melee build and focused mostly on fire dmg abilites just to get some variety from the cookie cutter builds popping up. With some better rolled legendaries and a few upgrades I think I could do t3-t4 solo without too much effort. Right now I'm simply too low dps to kill anything efficiently at that level.
The setup:
Spectral blade stacks 70+ easily on large aoe packs, with 4 stacks Flash of Insight drop Black Hole to get the per mob dmg bonus, get to 5 stacks then nuke away with Wave of Force. With my ias/loh my spectral blade is usually enough to keep me up through almost anything short of stuns/frozens and the synergy of a few talents leads to pretty large stacking +fire bonuses. The overall dmg output solo target isn't boner-inducing, but the toughness/healing are enough to stand on Gholm, take the clouds and the punches to the face, and never go below 90% health. Buffed up I sit just shy of 11mil toughness I believe and usually 23-24k healing.
I'm totally open for suggestions on how I can tweak this. I loathe the cookie cutter specs and glass cannon style characters who can't take a hit, let alone tank 30-40 mobs. Sorry I don't have any videos, but feel free to add me at Xumio#1576 if you want to chat or see it in action.

I'm not sure how much conflagration helps you. You have 0 CHD as far as I can tell, so the 6% crit chance is pretty small dmg bonus. Could switch that for Dominance and take the shielding off your Magic Weapon for 10% more dmg.
I'd say a socket in your weapon instead of IAS (can go ruby or emerald), and try to get 3 sockets in your chest and 2 in pants. With how strong the gems are in ROS, its tough to use gear that doesn't have 2-3 sockets. I used Wave of Force in a similar Arcane build and found it to be a lot of fun, but I was going through mana pretty quick. I used the one that gives you a 2% dmg boost for each enemy hit, which was often 10+ enemies. You might also try Explosive Blast since you have Fire and calamity. You can hit EB, teleport in, EB goes off, you spam Wave of Force a couple times and most things are dead.
Works pretty well on T1,stacking them up. yes, I got some things to update as well, particularly the socketed helmet for the +life, gloves and pads. Pretty much just run around, stack em up, and black hole/arcane torrent til death do them part.
Will likely make a few pieces of Aughild's once I farm up some mats to do so.
Thoughts on gear. Using a Moonlight Ward is a must since doubling down on contact explosions is just a ridiculous bonus. Crafted a pair of Cosmic Strands tonight for Teleport with Calamity and Wormhole. Not only can you drop into groups of mobs for the damage and 1.5 second stun, but you can do it three times. I still need to craft more because the first two I got were pretty crummy. Took a paper DPS hit on equip, but they make up for it so much. I keep a Julia in my inventory for the Arcane Turret threat and Frozen is the only other real threat I'm seeing right now. Badly need a pair of Ice Climbers, so I may go for that and swap my belt to the Blackthorne piece until I can upgrade that set as well. Current belt is because I was running Blackhole until very recently (much like my shoulders which I need to adjust).
Either way, I'm running this effectively solo on T2/T3. Highly explosive entrances/damage and easy escape thanks to Illusionist/Cosmic Strand Teleports when things get hairy.
Ashera's is on only for proc'ing the followers to help me along the way, working on farming up mats to replace with aughilds to use as I farm for Taj and Vyr's
Vyr's pants in stash so far. With their recent tweaks to wizards, I'm not infinite AP anymore, so I have to deal with resource management now too
with tweaks on skills, 845k dd and almost 19m toughness.

"Black Hole - Spell Steal" is an open slot, you could use a different rune or Archon for example if you wish.

This is the build that I'm currently using for my wizard but I'm slacking in gear so I need to work on it to make this build stronger.
