So there seem to be two types of Wizard right now; those that rely on Magic Weapon + Disintegrate (cannot crit) and stack DPS, and those that stack crit and make use of Critical Mass to spam Wave of Force with Arcane Orb for blackup. Both builds make use of Venom Hydra's OP stacking pools, Diamond Skin and Frost Nova for survivability, and Force Armor for the lols.
Is this correct? How will the inevitable Force Armor nerf affect these builds?
As long as you haven't geared up specifically for force armor exploitation, I don't think the possible incoming nerf will ruin either of these builds. Your summation sounds about right to me.. well, there's a lot of interchangeability between what skills people are using, but still. Count me in as a magic weapon disintegrator.

How will the inevitable Force Armor nerf affect these builds?
except force armor won't get nerf, do you honestly believe Blizzard didn't think of that simple as hell build during the year or so they tested it? (I knew right when I learned about force armor that this build could be made...)
Apparently i can be in act 3 inferno and not be either of those builds, guess you are wrong there is more than 2 options sorry.
Clearly there are more than two possible builds, thank you for pointing that out good sir. Your choice of teleport > calamity and illusionist over wave of force and critical mass happens to make your own variant suboptimal, and therefore not within the scope of this thread, but to each his own...
Disintegrate may not be able to crit, but the exploding mobs can for loads of damage! If you use that rune like me anyway.
I don't really understand the point of that rune; it's a relatively low proc and just does splash - i/e more of what lazer already does quite nicely. Chaos nexus can crit quite nicely too, and does an even nicer job of CYA.

Do I honestly believe that Bliz didn't think of it? Considering the general disaster right now with so many game-breaking issues, you better believe it.

what in the hell is gambreaking issues found now, affects if blizzard thought of that particular build (wich is pretty easy to come with really) 6 months before the game was out?

What?
I'm not sure either, but I think he's trying to ask which game-breaking issues, that were just found, affected Blizzard not being able to think of that build 6 months before the game came out?
To answer that question, nothing, but I think that Blizzard tested the game like a normal person not trying to game the system. I don't think that Blizzard is going to take low Vit builds into account. At the same time, there are still plenty of things that can kill someone with low health totals like 3 35% hits in a row. I think they probably thought about that and decided it wasn't worth trying to account for until they could see how people used it.
I do expect a nerf, but not to the point that it is unusable. I would think that maybe changing it to 40-45%, having it only work once every 5 seconds, or having a maximum number of times that it can work during the spell's duration would all be effective ways of nerfing it without making it useless.

Are there really that many Frost Nova builds? Why? It makes sense for Critical Mass but I don't see why non-Critical-Mass players should let mobs get that close to them before reacting.
Something like this seems superior to me:
Venom Hydra
2nd Offensive Skill (Orb, Blizzard, whatever)
Prismatic Armor
Wave of Force
Diamond Skin
Teleport (Fracture) or Mirror Images

Yes. It's very simple - no yellow numbers in path of beam, ever. Chaos Nexus CAN crit, however.
