Which ones do you guys think are the worst or are the least used/useful? Personally I have yet to find a reason to fit exploding blast, arcane missiles, blizzard, and spectral blade into my builds.
Spectral blades easily. The only other spell I've used that little is archon, everything else I've used for at least an act. Explosive blast is good at the lower levels as an instant, later on it's probably still good with a delay as a mine considering most of the time you're kiting champ/elite packs anyways. Haven't tried it though.
Torrent is amazing with cascade, especially against illusionist packs.
Sorry, by missiles I was referring to arcane torrent, not magic missile. I actually like MM quite a bit, but I just haven't found myself in situations where I was either glad I had AT, or wish I did. There's always been a more effective spell, IMO.
People seem to think that just because they don't use a specific ability that no one else does. And some don't shine till later levels
Exploding Blast is actually good for a melee Wiz build. Every 6 sec, have a 292% dmg spell. Does require you to remember to use it though.
I LOVE Blizzard. It was great in Normal and especially useful in Nightmare. Drop a Hydra and Blizzard on mobs and then spam signatures till they die.
Meteor was much less useful in normal mode, but in Nightmare and especially in co-op where the monsters don't die in 2 secs, it actually does a lot of damage.
Archon is almost a must in Nightmare for me to finish off Elite and Champion packs, couple it with Diamond Skin and you've got a winning combo.
The spells I tend to not use is any channeling spells. I move about way too much to just stand and channel unless I have diamond skin on.
I use Archon a lot, I think it's pretty awesome. I'm level 48 toward the end of Nightmare, it always gets me out of tight spots. True, you have no defensive power, but I usually kill everything so quickly defense is unnecessary.
I haven't used Blizzard or Meteor much at all. Explosive blast was useful for awhile but I've changed my build around and definitely don't see the point anymore.

Archon is pretty useless past nightmare imo if you're soloing. Heck even in a group, there are times where Archon will get you killed rather than your standard defensive abilities.
Blizzard - useful only in groups by assisting tanks with freezing enemies
Pretty much every signature spell is useless since they do not generate enough damage
Archon is only useful in groups because when u r in archon mode u have 0 defensive abilities, teleport wont get you nowhere

Currently I would declaret the best skills to be Arcane orb, disintegrate, venom hydra, mirror image and frost nova.
Meteor, take the Star Pact rune, throw a frost nova, and cast 3 or four of them (four if you have the passive that gives 20 more Arcane power), makes any normal packs in NM die really quickly , and cause a serious dent in elite packs.
Blizzard, with the rune that freezes ennemies, throw it on a horde of mobs and have fun using disintegrate until everything dies.
Archon, agains't bosses it's a blast, and in multiplayer when you have a good tank it's good
and signature spells aren't meant to do the biggest DPS, they are there to do DPS when you don't have Arcane power
Blizzard, whilst pretty bad through normal/nm/hell, is an absolute godsend in Inferno. All inferno is, is successful kiting. Successful kiting is doing as much damage as possible whilst on the move.
Stark Winter blizzard, and Venom Hydra are amazing.

This is 100% true, after nightmare I found archon got me killed more than it helped, it's still great vs mobs, but as soon as you hit champion packs or golds and try to stand there and trade with them you get gibbed, and i have 42k hp on my wiz. Currently at the end of act 2 hell and archon has left my skill bar for good, you need to kite vs elites, else you are toast. Venom hydra or blizzard, with frost nova for when those pesky fast and teleporters get to close. Still havn't found an effective means of escaping wallers and jailers yet, I truly hate those guys

Agree with this as well. I found it extremely situational in Inferno. Currently going through Act II, and I've just made the switch from Archon to Teleport (dropped Evocation for Illusionist).
With Illusionist, Teleport is pretty much reset every time you get hit allowing you to kite with Venom Hydra.
If you are going melee wizard then spectral blades will be useful, otherwise it is very useless. If you are thinking why the f*** would anyone go melee wizard it is actually a decent build go spectral blades with meteor. They can go together very nicely,
Can't believe people are mentioning Blizzard; works so well in combo with Disintegrate; add Frost Nova and you have no excuse to ever get hit.
Energy Twister, on the other hand... Teleport is very lackluster as well; can't really justify giving up the skill slot that can be used for an extra armor skill.
Slow Time. Loved it in act 2 Normal, but then got me killed constantly in act 2 Nightmare. It is surprisingly deadly to let all the missiles "stack up" in one area for a few seconds, then get released all at once when the bubble expires.
Right now I only use Teleport on Diablo (with Illusionist) and it is overpowered for that fight. Other than that, I haven't found a spot where I really wished I had teleport on my bar.
