I have played the WD, Monk and Wizard. Out of those three I have noticed that the Monk has some issues with fighting up and close if you don't help him with equipment.
The Wizard seems to be able to handle his own pretty much throughout the game (beta) You can just freeze people and kill them all pretty fast without have to get him equipment from a previous character Has anyone else noticed that the Wizard seems very strong?
Wizard has good CC and good AoE, but it has the worst primary attack skills (IMO) and the lowest boss dps (i.e., single target sustained). Blizzard has recently stated that creatures in inferno will have higher resistance to CC so that might cause issues with the Wizard.
WD also has good CC thanks so pets, Wall of Zombies, Grasp of the Dead, etc. and insane DPS thanks to Soul Harvest.
I never had survivability issues with my Monk at low levels and he became pretty much indestructible once I got him some decent gear. I love his insane mobility in combat thanks to Dashing Strike.
hard to judge how the classes compare once they have all runes and skill slots unlocked.
Wizard is really strong in beta, I'll agree. But then again the WD can get way higher dps than any other class by a large margin simply due to a single skill they get by 13.
It does seem like Wizard will be more aoe/burst orientated while the DH is more singletarget/sustain.

I saw that statement too and I'm a bit worried about it.
In my opinion, diminishing returns would be FAR more enjoyable and just a better system in general. There's no reason why you should be able to stunlock any monster (yet alone a boss)... even in normal difficulty.
Also, it's not fun to have defensive skills randomly get resisted. Life or death determined by a random roll of the dice doesn't sound fun If I make a mistake it's one thing, but to do the right thing and have luck go against me? That sounds a little lame. If their intention is to make skills like frost nova and wave of force to NOT be picked then they're on the right track. Everyone will be picking teleport and mirror image instead because those skills can't be resisted.
Really? My dogs die well before the CD is off cooldown and it's only the start of the game. Once you're over leveled it's not an issue anymore, but while going through the beta at the correct level they seem worthless.
Regardless, judging a class based on it's first 13 levels with access to extremely limited runes is pretty pointless.
Imo every class looks it has plenty of viable builds that would be capable of being played in inferno provided the players has adequate skill and gear.....which is exactly what their goal is.
No class as far as I can tell has any glaring weaknesses. Each has it's strengths, but they all look viable to me.

Except I think warriors currently dominate.

"Just google "diablo 3 gold guide" and magical rainbow covered demons will assault your eyes."

When everyone is convinced his class is gonna rock, they did a pretty good job (so far).
