Electrocute: best skill in the game so far in beta. I'm assuming this doesn't change.
Wave of Force: I went with Force over frost because I felt like I was over-relying on Frost as my primary control method in harder modes.
Teleport: Helps with escape utilities... especially with hard to control boss mechanics.
Familiar: Increase my damage output while monsters are controlled
Mirror Image: Another control utility that can add a little DPS for harder mobs end game. Mainly so I don't get stuck in a hole. I'm assuming these are very similar to how lethal decoy works for monks (minus the attracting enemies part)
Ray of Frost: I really like this skill. I'm debating on the rune to use since my primary skill will be electrocute and this will be used as a semi-control device.
advice?
Did I go too much into control?
My main goal as pretty much everyone else playing wiz (lol) is trying to find a right balance of DPS & control
There is not any need to have golden Ray of Frost and another signature.
The current build you have basically doesn't even consume Arcane Power! It generates faster than you could ever hope to spend it with that build.
Also, you have no real dmg. Killing every mob one at a time with Ray of Frost would take some time, and in reality cause you to take more dmg in the long run.
Also, don't forget that you can swap out skills when needed.

frozen solid runed blizzard, frost nova and/or ice armor will give u more than enough control. i dont rly see wave of force being better than any of these in any scenario since it has 15 sec cd and mobs will be more faster as u progress so its kinda bad imo.
u need to find a balance between dmg and control to make it effective, you wont do much with control only.
edit: keep in mind that ray of frost hits only 1 target, it doesnt work like disintegrate.
