Great choice buddy. His skill effects look awesome.
I'll play either WD or monk i think.
WD looks fun to but I like the new leap attack seismic slam and that one where he runs foward real fast and attacks. dont know what its called but he killed the thousand pounder with it in the original GP video<
Come on Nekro, he's just saying that he would like to play a char that is inspired in his own ethnicity... he's not labeling anybody...
NOTE: I AM NOT A RACIST, I'm just trying to establish what races the characters are. In fact, I'm Asian and honestly, I'm a little excited to find out that the Wizard may be Asian as well.
and yeah, she looks like a babe... that's why I'm playing her first, I love to see chicks fighting against all the hordes of hell and beating the hell out of them xD

FTW!!!!
Hmm...you are right...I guess I was being a bit picky. My apologies. It's just that I don't like the extrapolation of game characters to real world ethnicity or background... It's kinda close-minded...Oh...scrap that. Let's pass over it.
Hehe...i must admit badass chicks are impressive...
Wouldn't want them beating up on my ass though...The female barb looks like she might do just that. xD
@Nanaki- you are right, blizz did the effect on seismic slam just perfectly. The barb looks like a real powerhouse now.
She has always looked Eurasian to me, and i think she's very beautiful. Despite the fact that she's a rebel, you could picture her in her national garb like a geisha, as well as armour - which is interesting.
I think adding different 'nationalities' is a great idea - it adds real depth. And lets face it, most of the time you're zoomed out and all you'll see a long length of hair flying about as you concentrate on killing monsters, so if you wanted to ignore anything like that you could. But why would you want to?
I'm just waiting for the onslaught of the poor male Wizard, people are already saying he's too pretty and anime-like - but for some of us girls that's a good thing.

Yeah it does give the game a little somthing extra to certain people
Labels are one thing, stereotyping is another. There is nothing wrong with saying the Wizard has Asian features. Asians "generally" have actual physical characteristics that make them look unique compared to other races. That is how archeologists can tell what race/ethnicity someone is based just on their skeletal structure. Saying since the Wizard is Asian and therefore must be a nimble class would be wrong.
I like that each character has a distinct and unique physical appearance and if people want to connect to that, that is there choice.

First of all, note to OP- am not trying to put you down. My very first post was certainly stating the obvious but it formed part of my argument.
Labels are the very start of stereotypes Scyber. Soon you'll have- all black people are like this...all eastern people are like that.
It's cool one is able to identify with their character through the features of the latter. It remains personal- in terms of tastes and values and of course appearance.
My point was that games are usually free of all these Earth bindings, associations and labels that pertain to a particular ethnicity.
Heck, blizz even created a whole new world for them.
The character is 'untainted'. It's not a matter of how pale or how dark their skin is, it's a matter of how kickass their abilities are.
For me everyone in Diablo is and will always be a Sanctuarian.
I feel blizz celebrated the uniqueness and variety in the human race, not an ethnicity and I like to look it like that.
Of course that is just my way of seeing things. Personal.
oh... that's what happens when you don't make a proper intro thread... look, here, when a topic arises, first we look at it to see if it's worthy of our attention, then we brutally destroy it to it fundamental parta until it ends up being just a bag of blood and entrails, then we feast on the remains...
once we get bored of the carnage we go to the off topic forums (the URT or the tavern) and make a party
I don't like labeling people. That's all.
I respect your opinion.
:barb:<---- my first D3 character

People like labeling themselves. So too bad.
I like that each character has a distinct and unique physical appearance and if people want to connect to that, that is there choice.
