This wizard can easily solo GR90 with only 261K sheet DPS with Firebird 6 set. Vyr 2 set is also used to get Archon skill with all runes. So that the Fire damage archon can be used and have teleport.
The video pretty much explained how this build works. The mechanism or bug behind this is from firebird set.
A). the Burning effect from firebird 4 set can benefit from damage multiplier twice. i.e., the damage multiplier from archon skill and 6 firebird set are calculated twice.
B). firebird 6 set bonus can be kept permanently by ignite only one blue elite but not the other ones. If you use fire skills on the same enemy only once every 3 seconds, you will never ignite them.
The reason this build can not use higher sheet DPS is that once the fire damage reach a certain threshold, it will not be able to cause 4 set burning effect. Thus this build requires relatively low sheet DPS to work.
Apparently bliz doesn't want to face this bug or has no clue how to fix it.
It was probably removed because you spread info of a bug/exploit on their forums. It is not allowed. and I believe it sin't allowed here either, so this could be subject to deletion
nontheless, nice vid I hope you got this to blizz support.
This seems just to work if you have a specific room/map constellation with 1 blue and then again another (as much) blue/yellow next to it/not far away. This is nonsense. Why does the 50er buff just work if you ignite 1 blue not more, why no yellow?
"I didn't kill Rift Guardian but left the game." LOL
Firebird's Finery has been the focus of a lot of community discussion since the launch of Patch 2.4.1. As the patch and current Season settle in, we want to take a moment to share development insight on what's coming for this powerful class set in the future.
Firebird’s Finery has come a long way since its original implementation. We’re really happy with its theme. It’s the Fire set for Wizards and puts you in a place where you can burninate all the things. That’s awesome, we like that, and we want to preserve that feeling. On the other hand, we’re not happy with the bugs we’ve encountered and it’s become clear we need to take a new approach. We’re working on a fix that will be introduced in a future patch.
So, what does that mean for Season 6? There are a lot of players who have pushed hard and reached high ranks with these unintended bugs. However, we don’t want to punish players for working within the parameters given to them. To that end, the current functionality will remain intact for the duration of Season 6. Once these bugs have been resolved, you can expect that the power level of Firebird’s will be much more in line with other sets.
In short, the bug will not be fixed in season 6 and anyone who abuses this will not be punished.
My personal opinion on this: I don't understand this. It takes paragon 1000+ and a lot of practice, playtime, and augments to get a GR100 down as solo wizard without this bug. However, now all those "legit clears" will be pushed off the leaderboard, as with this bug everyone can eventually clear GR100. Not easily, but it's possible. Some people with the new builds (Tal/Vyr, or maybe even the Twister+Archon hybrid) will probably top the leaderboards, but most spots will be occupied by this build. So in my personal opinion, a sad day and a decision I don't understand. But well, here you go.
Not to bring down hellfire and flaming from all directions, but I'm seriously looking at this to help me level up gems in non-season as I've never been able to get very high before. I have no leaderboard aspirations and would just like to get up farther than I have for the legendary gem improvement. I've never exceeded 65 to my knowledge. If I can use this to get to 75-80, woohoo!
Are "normal" leaderboards a big deal like the seasonals are?
Would it even be easy to do this? The gear "requirements" look pretty special. You need enough toughness to survive a rift that is high enough so your cippled damage doesn't accidently kill your "buffbot".
What a joke excuse of a game. Every new patch there's a gamebreaking exploit that allows noobs to do GR 100. They keep moving sliders up and down on sets and they don't realize the synergy between all the sets and items will always result in some unintended exploit. Like the Federal Reserve
So, i was at 94 before the bug ranked aroud 70, i've tried it and managed to get a 95 with it, tough I'm pretty sure it was a GG rift even for a "legit" build.
It's not that easy to play honestly, and I feel a lot of people complaining about the bug ruining the game are tryharder aiming for top 10 or simply didn't try to play 90+ solo.
Currently the state of the game is pretty much this, farm parangon with 1wizz 3 sups, get A LOT of intel, then try to push. Then farm for more intel, then push higher. Oh and, each time you try to push, you have like 2/3 maps you want, and 2/3 mob type inside it with enough density and good pylons and a good RG. If one of this conditions is missing it's RIP. I think it's a very poor endgame, not really rewarding, and so bad for solo players. Fishing for a good rift is one of the most frustating experience you can have in D3.
The first bug is not hard to get, every wizz that played a lot knew how to bug the 50 stacks with the blue champions. The real bug is the damage before infinite DoT.
And this require at least a few hours of practice. You have a very short windows to get the damage done, you can fuck up really fast (you have to bind force move) proccing the 2p is problematic. And if you fail (infinite dot) on RG you cannot kill him.
The bug will alow players to go higher for sure, but it felt like a different gameplay, with a lot of fun and a lot of epic fails. You can, and should try it.
Since it's broken af I've noticed a few monsters becoming immune for no apparent reason, even RG that I couldn't burn properly, in the end it's fun and legit, so be a bad boy and try to have some fun guys. Ladder means nothing it's only your personal achievement that matters.
Well, you're rolling off or avoiding all crit related affix's so those are open for toughness rolls? It didn't look that hard to me.
Keep in mind I'm talking about using normal non-seasonal wizard stash to equip,
I got to test this and you're right, the gear requirements aren't that high, I must've catched a wrong toughness number from the vid. (edit: I didn't, but you don't need 90m toughness for gr80.)
I see no harm for you in trying, at least you'll get the joy of playing something very unconventional. That joy may be short-lived though because it honestly isn't much fun to play. The playstyle reminds me of the super early vanilla era, when you could beat the entire game with a DH @ 8k hp (eg getting one-shot by literally everything).
If you care about paragon and gem lvls(why?), this should be the fastest solo(!) route. However note that beyond that you'll never level these gems again with your regular chars, might influence the motivation to play them.
About leaderboards: I don't care about them, but given that the 4p players have reached 120 it doesn't matter if any solo class can bug its way to lvl 100. Paragon and gem lvls from the legitimate multiplayer "cheese" are still higher.
Anyone else having problems with fire blast missing? Its like the wd chicken, the boom misses some how.
Same stacks, same mob, zero damage or 1 shot.
Yes, seems to happen from time to time. No idea why, afaik there is no to-hit-roll. I also wonder if a crit can trigger the burn-effect. Yesterday I lost 3 lvl90 rifts at the RG because he accidently got incinerated. And I don't left-click at all.
