At least the two highest GR clears on ptr (a 69 and a 67 when I last checked) did their runs with shard of hate and lightning archon. Seems to have worked for them. No furnace cubed has got that high by now.

Interesting. I'll have to try and see if I can find an ICD sometime. I read it has a very short one (like 1/3 second or so), but even if that's true it doesn't matter since you'd rarely be above 3 aps.
Does archon slow time take the effect from the slow time effects of Delsere set. I can see some fun times coming my way if they do.
as i explained in general chat on the PTR the other day, the slow time effect from archon is a rune choice, it is not the same as the actual skill "slow time" which is why there is this confusion because blizzard were too lazy to rename the effect for the archon form version to clarify this, but no, it will never interact with delsere's magnum opus (until such a time as blizz decides it does), and even if it did, there is literally no way to combine 6p vyrs with 4p delsere's in any combination that makes sense, so i wouldn't worry about it anyway to be honest.

Not sure, but Archon setup is very gear intensive and there's no room for Delsere's.
i have been playing purely archon on my s4 wizard on the PTR and using both furnace and SoH in the cube, and while the furance is nice against RG's, shard of hate is just a million times better than anything remotely usable by wizards outside of "maybe" serpent sparker if you are running a hydra based setup outside of archon form (which is pretty hilarious with the huge AS bonus), also, with the season exclusive belt i am regularly hitting lowest stack count ~75-80, highest stack count ~165-180 and with the top end, my APS is reaching close to 4APS, but even with that i am not *noticing* any major performance issues with regard to SoH.
Fixed an issue that prevented Aether Walker and Cosmic Strand from working with Archon Teleport
Fixed an issue that prevented Crown of the Primus from working with Archon Slow Time
Am I dreaming, or does that mean u can spam teleport with AW while in Archon ? or Even have the slow time bubble have the power of all runes ? Someone can confirm on PTR ?
Archon + spam teleport ! lol
Exactly what it means. Not that archon teleport was more than like 1.5sec cd at the most anyway if you had CDR on everything you needed it on.
Curious, what are your SoH bolts hitting for with ~100 stacks?
before the belt nerf, easily each bolt hitting for ~130m at an average 85-90 stacks and it fires off 20-30 individual bolts, so you can imagine the damage output adds up fairly quickly.
No real reason to play it in S4 now unless you really want Stricken gem.
How is 120% dmg + 20% ias + much more defensive stats worse than 50% chd + 7% ias from Witching Hour?
Question: I've seen several people with Convention of Elements with Vyrs, however, when I tested it today the elemental damage from Archon was fire all the time (since without CoE that's my highest element). Did they change this?
I'm not sure how much 50% CD will add, but the 20% AS is additive. I may have been too harsh on the belt judgment, but the point is it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. 20 Archon stacks isn't that hard to build up.
CoE will use the same element as Archon uses. Archon will use the same element as your highest. Therefore, if your highest element in character sheet is fire, both Archon and CoE will use it.
Even if 20 stacks isn't that hard to get, the belt is still the best for the set. The ramp-up time is WAY shorter if you already start with 20 stacks. I've been testing it on hte PTR and it feels stronger then using a WH.
As for what weapon to cube, most players, including me, are using the Fulminator. On the PTR it has been changed to 555% weapon damage and it does some nice damage. I've tried it with the SoH but the Fulminator seems to do more damage.

Does Fulminator outweigh SoH when you factor in Rift Guardian (since Fulminator doesn't damage the single target it's procced on)?

Archon's bubbles are not affected by delsere's set bonus.

Latest changes basically mean this:
Belt is useless. Witching Hour is now better.
Vyrs + AW = new speed farm spec for Wiz.
No real reason to play it in S4 now unless you really want Stricken gem.
