I currently have 90% all resist with all of my paragon points in armor. on my armory page it says i have 2.5 mil toughness but i actually have 6.5 million toughness. Id like to be clearing t 5 but i cant even efficiently clear t 3 -t 4 without dying and this is with 2 x unity. Are witch doctors really just this weak or am i missing something? i quit my barb because he had the best gear and was only criting for 8 milion which i thought sucked. im contemplating quitting because this is the second character i have had to quit because of them being to weak and plus if i decide to play my barb id have to remake to female because of the leap bug in the game.
Best gear and was only criting 8mil? you are doing something wrong bro.
6.5mil toughness is way to low, try to get it to 8mil. By looking at your gears yea you should be doing T2, theres no way you can do T4 or T5 efficiently.
By the way your barbarian is far from having the best gears and needs a lot of work. His gears has 0 synergies and you lack %elemental dmg.
Um....not sure about talents but you have basically no resistances from your gear and the most you can get through Paragon is 1000 points.....I have roughly 1100-1300 and none of my resists are over 77%....not sure how you have 90% resist?
i Have 380k hp this diablo site is wrong about many things, it doesn't take certain things into account. also i have a talent that gives 15% all resist. I still dont know what i should go after or even if i should play witch doctor. do i need more + fire resist or + Frost resist? i really don't understand how i am getting crushed on this hard and its cool that you can do t5 in 6 minutes but i cant so telling me that without an explanation why doesn't help.

You seem to have a problem understanding the fundamentals of the toughness system.
You have no all-resist on your gear. You don't even gem for it. That talent doesn't give you 15% all resist, it reduces your damage taken by 15%. From the looks of your gear, you're basically almost entirely vitality and that's a bad thing.
If you want to survive, you're going to need all resist on as many pieces as you can get without sacrificing extremely huge DPS stats. Your shoulders, legs, belt, boots and probably even gloves should all have all resist (and/or bonus armor) on them. Vitality is great and you seem to have a decent amount, but you need a healthy balance and you should really avoid the life% affixes.
You've focused your gear entirely on damage output. Stop worrying about area damage and probably even resource cost reduction and use those slots to get armor or all resist.
Intelligence gives resist, and if you didn't know that then your even worse then me. my barb has good gear, my witch doctors gear is good though for my spec. i am not here to be criticized i am here for input.

If you have so much all resist that you're hitting serious diminishing returns, then focus on armor. Just because you're an int class doesn't mean you can skimp on defensive stats. Anyway, 8463 intelligence should give you about 846 all resist. That's not enough.
Input and criticism are much the same thing. Take the words people are saying to heart -- ignore the rudeness of some posts and focus on the message -- you're doing something wrong.
You have AWFUL gear, and diabloprogress IS NOT wrong it just doesn't care about any buffs you get in game or para levels. No wonder you can't do anything in t3. You seem to be scattered all over the place, with no optimization or focus. You need to go into the d3 WD forums and look for builds, all these dudes saying they do t6 in minutes have VERY specific equipment with VERY specific stats.
people are saying they are getting crushed on with 10 million toughness so im starting to think its just a witch doctor thing. i have to be close to use zombie charger and if im close i get hit every now and then. when i get hit for 50% of my health in 1 hit it leave 0 room for error. and sometimes even if i play it perfectly i still die from stuff like the damage over time on the freeze and things like that.

That's called denial. Re-read the comments here and actually take the advice.
we need to see how you play your WD, if you are playing him like a barb yea you are getting crushed.
Your gears suggest you should stick with T2,T3 unless you want to play with groups and get someone to tank for you
Here's my specific advice to you:
1) Put a purple gem on your helm
2) you are loosing WAY too much vitality on gloves and helm. they have 750 vitality a piece so you are giving up 1500 vitality
Ideally you want Int, vitality, CC, and CHD on your glove and int, vitality, CC and a socket on your helm unless you insist on skill boost on helm
3) get rid of area damage on that shoulder, enchant that to life%
4) put on another blackthrone gear if you have one, blackthrone belt would be nice, unless you are going DoTs or full pets build, if you main dps skill is zombie charger I would not favor attack speed
5) I would craft aughild shoulder and aughild bracer, and get rid of homing pad and reaper's wrap. Seriously i can't think of any other reason to use homing pad other than split bounty farming
Easily explained: 900+ AR is nice, but you have NO ARMOR. The paragon points aren't enough to keep you up unless you have a solid base, since it's a % increase. You may be sitting around 72-75 reduction from AR, but you are miles behind on armor. No wonders you die.
Needing 10m toughness to survive is a sheer crap. Reading the comments there is alot of good advice, but your not seeking advice. Someone tells you to modify something your response is "this is good for my build' or you try to mock them back. If your gear was "On par" and your stats are what people were suggesting you would be fine.
Zombie is a close range spec in T5-6 your probably going to need a group for it. Looking at Diablo progress your sitting on 938k elemental elite dmg, Thats very low for T5. There are some good Zombie builds on WD forums with gear breakpoints you need to make it work.
With your gear and probably lack of breakpoints for the spec your trying you should be in T3 at the max.
You know, threads like this are starting to make me wonder if the Diablo 3 community is becoming more toxic than the WoW community. I mean, I can't recall ever seeing a WoW player make a thread asking for help and advice and then trashing and ignoring those that try to help. It's like this game just brings out the douchebags.
OP asked for advice, was given advice, and anyone can look at this character link and see that he didn't change a single damned thing about his gear, even on pieces that he could've easily changed (like his shoulders). Then there are threads where people say, "I get 4-5 legendaries per day farming 30-40 Torment 6 rifts" and people responding, "then maybe you should farm 100 Torment 4 rifts instead" and the OP replies saying, "hey, don't tell ME how to play just because you can't handle Torment 6."
I mean, come on guys, this shit needs to stop. If you're going to ask for advice, take it. If you're going to complain about your lack of drops, listen to the points people are making about how to fix that problem. If you're going to post just to whine, then whine to mommy and daddy instead, because no one here cares. We'll give you advice, but we won't hold your hair back while you vomit in the toilet because you drank too much.

I think it's because people are trying to find comfort, like this guy he doesn't want advice he wants people to say "It's not you, it's the game you are perfect"... When people complain about drops they want people to agree drop rates suck not be told there doing it wrong and when they don't hear what they want they start to kick and scream... I would say it's less that there douchebags and more that there children.

I wish we could see your in-game defensive stats.
Aughilds 2+3 set is extremely strong for mitigation (15% elite, 7% melee and ranged) along with a good dmg boost on elites (15%).
Fuck the exp helm gem. Why bother.
