Using those 2 passive and the Locust Swarm attack, i have 2 questions: 1.) If CD allows LS to last almost forever, what happens to the damage dealt after the 8 seconds passes? 2.) Since BM reduces damage for 3 seconds upon being dealt posion, does the combination of these 3 passives mean anyone infected by LS permenantly deals 20% less damage? The reason I ask this is becasue my WD is a support class in clan multiplayer, and the ability to permenatly reduce damage by 20% (and quickly) is VERY lucrative.
it will last for 3 seconds afterthe last poision damage is dealt, so for a regular locus swarm that means the debuff will be active for 8+3 sec so 11 seconds.
and with creeping death it will be 303 seconds (creeping death makes em last 5 minutes or 300 sec)
so yes it will be very good combo indeed. you can also throw in acid rain for some quick application to mobs outside the locus range.
the thing I don't like about bad medicine is it doesn't debuff affixes, even if the elite is affected by poison. So this may be good for group play with a lot of physical mobs, but for torment 3 and 4 I still would rather have jungle fortitude than bm. thats just me though and I play hardcore. It maybe better for sc.
Yeah, I agree with pretty much everything said: Bad Medicine + Creeping Death should give you about 5 minutes of reduced damage.
However, it does seem that a lot of the deadly attacks that elites use are spawned objects, not the monsters themselves, so it doesn't seem like reducing a monster's damage affects things like arcane sentries, molten explosions, ground fields, or frozen/frozen pulses.
It may work on Electrified though, because I think those are just treated as projectiles.

i would also suggest pairing it up with hwoj-warp (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/hwoj-wrap ) for an additional debuff at 60-80% movespeed reduction.
and aslo using the large area that zombie piranhas give to spread the phrihana debuff to as much as possible.
or using WoZ - offensive line + phiranhados + strongarms(http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/strongarm-bracers )for additional damage incremental.
Edit: a note i forgot: remember that locus swarm stops dealing damage and giving the debuff if you or the mob gets to far away.
