This build relies on attack speed, channeling vampire bats has a high chance of spawning fetishes, faster you'll hit with your bats more fetishes you spawn, idea is to build an army of small minions and keep attacking stuff, build momentum and keep it up you'll end up melting everything.
You'll need to be in close melee so dont forget to get hp 90-100k, resistances and life on hit.
Is there a limit to how many fetishes you can have active at once, or stay active?
I'm 3/4 zuni's (loot 2.0 version) and I have Visage helm that spawns fetishes every 2 elite kills.
I'm wondering if I was to find that fourth piece of Zuni's, that makes your Fetishes last until death, along with a Fetish based build - could I essentially have 20+ fetishes ALL THE TIME?
I mean between Fetish Army, making fetishes with Visage, making Fetishes with Sycophant passive, dense areas that can lower cd on Fetish Army (via Grave Injustice and something like Zombie Bears / Swarm / Bats)...you can pretty easily and quickly find yourself rocking SILLY amounts of fetishes (which of course, is awesome).
If this is possible....this is basically my new goal at 70. I just gotta have those little dagger wielding dingles with me all the time.
I didn't notice any cap, once i managed to count 21 around me, they're so op, can tank, hit like a truck and really fast. Fetishes seems the way to go now due to so much gear made for it. I have a feeling the 4 set zuni doesn't applies to fetishes summoned with the talent but only to the ones u get from fetish army, otherwise it will be too op that doesn't mean we cant lower the cd on fetish army and get 100+ minions.
All my skills here are so they can tank everything on the screen and I can wear em down the zombie charger - pile on. I really like this rune, massive DPS and when all the enemies are stuck on wall of zombies or fighting your pets they are sitting ducks.
And for more fetishes I would suggest the weapon I'm using: The Gidbinn
Thats why i used pyrogeist with vampire bats coz both are fire dmg, when deciding skills you're using try to use same class since with this new patch items can easily roll extra dmg and is quite noticeable.
I place 3 pyrogeist before engaging, i get close to the mobs and start channeling vampire bats, if you're getting heavy dmg try to move behind your pets, i dont have the best gear in the world either and thats why i went with spirit vessel but you can change to gruesome feast for more dmg output if your gear is really good.
The dogs are good for life on hit that's why i choose them and they can tank for you if you go behind them, aggro isn't very smart in this game, keep in mind that u might get frozen but your dogs can still hit targets and heal you while they do it.
Thank you so much n0n3 for posting this build - I've been looking for something new to try with my WD lately as he was constantly having damage/mana issues, and even without the pet specific gear this build works wonders and I am actually having a pretty easy time with torment now.
Hello guys , got some questions, actually i trying to play this spé with a lot of fetish, but i would like to know how the different stats scale on pet.
For example how attack speed work on fetish, crit, crit dmg etc..
Same for the passiv incresing dmg by 20 and mana cost by 30

From what I could find on the official forums which was buried due to being tested a long time ago. So this might not be valid anymore.
Damage from pets (all of the ones in this build) is based off your total weapon DPS. Which is a combo of your INT and attack speed.
Attack speed wont make the fetishes, dogs, or big brute attack any faster though. Instead they hit harder since your weapon DPS goes up.
For Crits they get your Crit chance but are not effected by Crit dmg + gear. So stacking crit damage isn't going to get you anything.
As for the passive EDIT: Tested it and it does effect fetishes at least. So probably works with all the pets as well.
Now a question of my own. What kind of numbers is everyone getting from their Fetishes? Not sure if I'm doing well enough when I join games.
Why use fire bomb and vampire bats? I'm using vampire bats on left button and zombie charger on right. That way you get a big burst of damage if needed available.
I just wish there was a long range, physical, high damage dealing spell that didn't devour mana. Vampire bats are great for damage, but I just like to be as far away from the mobs as possible and Ghost Bomb doesn't do enough damage, but great range. Using a spirit type build I can do that. Wait does Zuni's String of Skulls actually keep ALL fetishes alive? Not just the ones summoned with Fetish Army? If so thats so amazingly awesome as I have that leg and now will be changing my build up
Got the Tall Mans Finger and The Gidbinn.
Tall Mans Finger - Dog does damage (roughly) equal to the amount of your highest possible # of dogs +1 and a tad lower then the Runes total damage/lifesteal of them. This wasn't true before the patch this week so it looks like they patched it w/o saying.
The Gidbinn - Your attacks summon mini-fetishes that are 1/2 the size of normal fetishes and do (roughly) 1/2 the damage. The minis are effected by auras, buffs, and the Mask of Jeram. As of this post I've submitted a bug report for this item as the mini fetishes summoned by it DO NOT crit. Not sure if intended.
When I'm in a group I switch out locusts for BigBadVoodoo; Slam Dance. While solo I like locust swarm to pull everything towards me so when I channel bats it can hit as many as possible.

I like blizzards changes to pets, i'll defo look for legendaries that make my pets op once RoS hits.
