So I have decided I will be rolling WD, have been following the forum for a while trying to soak up as much info as possible, im really excited and cant wait.
My concern is I will be playing mostyl co-op with a buddy who spent some time in the beta. His concern is with our comp of WD, barb he will be out pacing me. in comparision to all the other classes WD seem to have the worst mobility. Barbs with frenzy and leap, DH can vault, Wizards obvisouly have Tele (Especially tele + worm hole) and monks have some skills that have built in tele mechanics.
Am I wrong here? or will WD's be slow as heck? is thier only mobility going to be coming from items with + run speed? or will the WD always be last to the fight during CO-OP play, constantly asking thier other teammates to wait up?
the WD is meant to be a support/in the background type of class (unless specifically built otherwise) so he will always be in front and you'll always be in back, you have spirit walk which increases your movement speed for its duration and horrify - stalker.
use these http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#....UX!.V!....aZ and you will have decent mobility to keep up and thats only if hes killing faster than you can keep up with which will stop in the higher difficulties he will definitely NEED your help in damage to be able to kill

Doesn't exactly boost your speed now does it? It simply allows you to move through enemies. Or am I missing something?
you are missing something. in the beta i tested it and you moved at LEAST 20-30% faster for the duration of it. most of the time id use it as a small sprint when in between fights to lessen downtime

I feel like the WD has quite a few ways to increase their mobility and debilitate their enemies. Theres alot of dmging skills that have runes that increase your speed or decrease theirs.. off the top of my head - spirit walk which can get you out of all kinds of messes, grasp of the dead can be runed to slow up to 80%, Haunt has a slowing rune i think? the fear and confuse both have opportunities to increase your speed and decrease your enemies, zombie wall can slow and soft cc. Spiders can paralize /slow..
I think WD has alot of options for getting away or staying on top of your enemies. And if your stacking move speed and cc reduction on top of this you could be pretty hard to get ahold of!
