From what I've seen so far, hex seems pretty useless. It only seems to hex two enemies in the 8 seconds that it's up. This seems like a very underwhelming CC spell considering you can rune paranoia to have a shorter cooldown with the same duration that affects more targets.

My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here. Why do I always realize it When I've already lost it.
I haven't seen it in action... but have been very skeptical of it. I'm imagining many monsters on the screen, compared to a few getting chickened for a bit? C'mon. Plus, it's random, so you can't be sure to hex the one that's actually beating on you.
However, if the summons are proving squishy, it's possible this could reduce damage by just enough to make everything go smoother.
I agree that the skill by itself is pretty lame. But when you add a rune to it they all become good.
Which rune would you use? I was thinking of running Golden for the heal, Alabaster doesn't seem like it would be that great, and the other runes do mediocre damage. If the heal occurs as often as the hex and if it truly heals a random target instead of the target that needs it the most then it still won't be too great.

Depends. If I'm farming I'd use Unstable Form [it might be mediocre damage, but it's AoE. Almost all the WD spells are mediocre compared to Wizards because they are all AoE]. For normal play through, leveling, bosses, etc. I'd use Hedge Magic (Golden) as well.

Ya, I was thinking something like this for a full summoner PvE build. You have a bunch of pets to tank, a bunch of resilience, a heal, and a spell/buffing pets to do quite a bit of damage. I'm still not 100% on the Acid Cloud spell, but it seems like a pretty awesome AoE spell with the Indigo rune. Although, I'd more than likely switch it out for bosses. Hex seems to synergize pretty well with all of these skills.

I didn't think about that I suppose. I don't think I'll be PvPing very much though.
