a cool african accent like kenyan or nigerian (like Mr.Eko in lost) would suit him!
Or even Ormus' accent?
Skills?
What (and this is just my brain goin for a walk) if they gave him an enhanced version of the revive spell, not just to revive dead monsters, but, when playing in co-op, he could revive a killed teammate, at a HUGE cost and long cool - off time. Had i worked for blizzard, i would have pitched that idea.
(disclaimer: associating the WD with the 'revive' spell is in no way implying the WD is the new necro, but since he can summon a couple o zombies, i just thought it'd be cool to be able to revive your buddy's dead barbarian for like two minutes under your control)
An African accent? Awesome! I can just hear him now, like Coffee from Repos. "You shoulda payed your last wagon note you pepper-tree mutha licka!" But I thought as a whole different species he would have a kind of ominous rasping voice, with a shrill raptor-like battle cry.

Like I said, 'i thought', there is no guarantee that he's 100% human. All that's given is he's of 'the Umbaru Race'. And since everyone seems so convinced that this is a wow ripoff, ill make that my example. The 'tauren race' doesn't seem to be a human, nor does the 'troll race'. I think it's up for debate, but thats just because i may not have read the expose on his biology, though ive searched.

There is a huge difference in trolls and taurens and humans. You can obviously tell they aren't humans. HumanOID, yes.
People consider black, asian, and caucasian races.
Every other class in Diablo has been human.
In the biology on D3.com it even says:

The culture of the umbaru of the lower Teganze is fascinating and perplexing to those hailing from more civilized walks of life. For instance, the Tribe of the Five Hills frequently engages in tribal warfare with both the Clan of the Seven Stones and the Tribe of the Clouded Valley, but these are matters of ritual and not of conquest. I had heard tales that these wars are waged in order that the victors may replenish their supply of raw materials for the[U] human[/U'] sacrifices that their civilization revolves around, and when I timidly asked my hosts more about this topic, I must admit their laughter made me fear for my safety.
yes, ive seen the pictures, thank you, though like i said i didn't read the biology. also, i know there's a difference in taurens and humans, that's what i was pointing out. Also, im very aware that black and white are considered races, and, just a reminder,
Nothing, not even the game itself, is guaranteed. Also, 'i thought' was part of my post, i believe.

The post just confused me because you said:

/agreed...i dont think it makes sense that wherever i cast it a few dozen people in identical masks died
But it makes more sense that someone could summon a zombie wall out of nowhere if they wanted to? I'm pretty sure if the WD can summon zombies out of the ground then he can also put masks on them with ease.

it's a lot more believable that a few people died on the spot that it was cast than a few people wearing identical masks, actually. so yes. it's not 'out of nowhere', either.

You missed the point; what I'm trying to get as is its magic. If the WD wants a zombie wall with masks, he can put masks on them.
I understand that. It just ruins the immersion of the game. don't you agree that a game loses roleplaying quality if everything is senseless and/or childish?
I've checked the video over a couple of times and like I thought they are not wearing the same headgear/masks.
go to the website and look at the pictures the zombies have different kinds of headgear one, in the wall that is emerging from the ground, is wearing what appears to be a jester hat. so it seems that these zombies can be any sort of person that comesout of the ground and fights for the WD
I totally agree, although not because "they have masks". I just think it's incredibly silly to raise a whole wall of zombies on a single spot.
well thank you. Personally I find the skill itsself falling just short of absolutely necessary. If we get rid of everything supernatural, we will have a really, really boring game that even I won't buy.

No big deal though.
And Zombie wall? no. maybe a sort of Flesh Wall? Yes. but not with moving arms and heads.
What's the difference besides personal preference?
I like the IDEA of zombie wall but do they ALL have to be wearing tribal masks?
/agreed...i dont think it makes sense that wherever i cast it a few dozen people in identical masks died
Anyway it makes sense in a way because the Witch Doctors gain human sacrifices from tribe wars to use in summoning.
So I can see why some have masks but meh.
