Zombie detonation would insinuate that they were undead, thus alive. Thus Corpse explosion and zombie detonation would be two very different skills used very diferently in very different situations...
I think pet explosion will take that spot. Its pretty close anyways.
Yeah. I think that, basicly, Blizzard wanted to take away much of the reliance on corpses in the game, since they seem to fade or disappear in a manner of ways (be it through gibbing, being knocked off the map, or otherwise).
The Pet Explosion ability showcased in the gameplay demo definately seems to take the place of the old corpse explosion, just like the Witch Doctor's pets doesn't seem to require corpses.

I love how this class works! The locust swarm spread looks fun, as do the summons. I know some people are really heartbroken over the Necro being (assumedly) replaced, but I think this is a creatively perfect job to spin that class role and make it fresh and fun again.
i really dislike, cause' its the same that the necromancer and the monk (in the hellfire diablo) fusioned.Although the skills of the wd will be able to play in teams, the single mode will be awful, i really prefer a new class, a nicer class ,such as "transformer" or something like that, which one you could transform in SEVERAL types of animals or beasts.

Shape-Shifter is the term you're looking for, and, yeah, that's what I want to see, too. Maybe the ability to copy and become a monster and have its abilities, but lose your own until the timer is up.

I bet shapeshifting will make a return; if not in the original, then in the xpac.

A new game don't means that new staff may be.Generally the new games take past staff and modifies it.That's what this diablo have to have, but, this whole modification have changed it at all, and the spot is confuse.
I think that the game needs to take a more daemonic standpoint, stuff like the witch doctor should be replaced, but, it's not that bad, I mean, as long as it has enough evil shit... And I also think that the blue light in the dungeons should be red...

I disagree with this, mainly because their are other monsters in the world besides demons. The Witchdoctor represents primal force and I like that.
I especially like SoulHarvest and Mass Confuse.

What I'm going to love most about WD, is probably going to be blowing up my pets, lol. Very fun idea

I'm not quite sure what you are saying.
If you are agreeing with me, yay for like-mindedness.
If you aren't, I think what you're saying is that there is too much striation from the original games. But if there is any place to change the game from the original games it is in the classes. The general ideas behind the classes should be used as a jumping off point for the new classes so that we can relate to them in some way, but they shouldn't be clones or else why not just save the $50 and play D2 for another 3 years?

well at first i was like wtf is that....... however as long as he isnt super bright then im fine with him. however he needs some better spells because the ones he has atm are gay imo and should be lvl 1 skills tops...
The witch doctor makes my think Alkor got tired of all the interruptions and decided he needed to go kick some azz and changed his profession from alchemist to witch doctor.

I really don't get where you're getting the 'Monk-vibe' from. Care to elaborate?
And on the other note, I do think we'll be seeing shapeshifting. Like someone else said, if not in the OC, then in an expansion pack. I'm not a fan myself, but I can see how it could appeal to some. I was actually hoping for some kind of shapeshifting, playing on the Nephalem ancestry. Not as to go as far as "ZOMG SERAPH PALADIN!" or "I WANT TO PLAY A DAEMON LOL!", but "shapeshifting" as in taking aspects of both. I know, I know, it's somewhat silly, but it's an idea I've had since I was a kid; Long before it was actually settled that humans are actually Half-Demon/Half-Angels.
Sorry for going off-topic a bit there. *cough*

well i just finished listening to cains jornal. and it just hit me. that they are bringing a char type back from diablo 1. adria the witch. she always blabed on about it. and you never heard of witch in diablo 2. so that is my idea of the witch doctor idea. not from wow. but from diablo 1.

Zomg! Feather Cape = mega cool.
Not understanding all the WD hate to be honest. Looks like an interesting new class to me, and the visuals are appealing.
As for his Mask, it's mimicing nature, making himself seem larger than he is in order to try and scare predators (or in this case, demons).
