hey i was wondering if there is any info on the other "monsters" the witch doctor can summon, i saw something about a zombie, but can that zombie be active while his zombie dogs are active too? any info would be great thank you
good question. I would guess that you would be able to summon both at the same time. I haven't heard anything about the other summons the witch doctor will have.
As many summoning skills as the WD has i'd be suprised that one couldn't controll more than one kind at a time. Then again, it wouldn't suprise me that much if they want you to use just one summon and a combination of other spells.
It would be pretty interesting to see the WD running his own little army. I'm sure it would be nothing like the number of summons the Necromancer in D2 could sustain at one time, but I would bet they would let you do multiple.
Certainly not necro-esq summons, but if you can use more than one type you'll have at least half a dozen to use without counting converted enemies and the like.
The WD is like a combination of both the Necro and the Druid in D2. You will probably have the undead like aspects to your summons, combined with the more limited/controlled number of summons with the Druid.
from the videos mostly always having 3-4 zombie dogs.. seems the WD might be more like the D2 druid summon wise rather than the necro.
true but in d2 the summons of a druid were pretty much useless because you could only have 1 type out at a time. and after shoveling points into one of the summons your elemental spells were too weak to do anything, but thats the broken system of d2, so this is going to be way better with better summons and also high powered spells to destroy monsters from a distance
unless its all like mongrels and we just get different elements applied to them.
i don't get what runes would do to a summoning spell, make them stronger or completely different? because the elements are applied by your spells you cast on them. so its going to be interesting seeing all the rune effects on summoning spells. I'm going to play the WD first and possibly even to 60 before i make another character
Just having 1 of the 2 major permanent summons up at once will be enough deterrent against the monsters of hell i think. Its the non permanent ones which dispatch them the quickest.
