Yeah its absolutely on par with s6 heltooth gargs now. I doubt about ht gargs using ring of emptyness though,since noone pushed this setup to the limits now. So its hard to tell. If ht gargs with roe and wormwood outperform ht gargs with rorg,tnt and furnace, then they will ouperform jade as well
Jade has no damage reduction though and its much harder to play then ht.. so only enthusiasts will play it, if it goes live as is. But if more tweaks will happen then jade has the chance
ROE is a very "pain in the ass" controversial ring. It was like this since previous previous PTR when it was introduced. Now it's even worse.
Most problems are
1) you need to cast two spenders. And Locust is 300 mana per cast. It's just bad from all perspectives.
So you are wasting time casting two no damage skills just to get massive DPS boost "for something else"
2) having these skills on skill bar.
Those who play WD, know that Wd's skill are all "built in stone". It's almost impossible to remove piranhado, leeching beasts for HT.. And very hard to remove Horrify for jade (-50% armor is no joke for squishy jade)

This is somewhat circumvented by Wormwood, though? I'm not saying Wormwood is better; but there are ways around it. I guess the next problem is Wormwood LS application and out-of-screen damage.

The whole idea to "cast two spenders that do no damage" is flawed at it's core. There's is no viable spender build since Suwong Diviner days.
There is no space for EW, you need short man´s fingers, RORG and ROE.
Dropping RoRG and Taskers for EW gives you more DPS.
Taskers which increases garg attack speed by +40% that is available 100% of the time.
EW gives you +100% but isn't always available.
So, not much has changed then... That's really unfortunate. If Blizzards would make all sets more or less equally good to use, things would be more interesting to play. For example, I like those lightning things from the Crusader, but there's probably no build that does sufficient damage with it. I hope they will improve this in D4. It's just math.
Indeed HT is much easier. And people always play what is easier. Zuni has all the old problems since like.. forever. You need to build up an army or you die from everything. You need to tag enemies with your mana spender or you do no damage
Well, i tested reworked Gazing Demise. Does it even stand a chance to be useful?

Well, if i understand correctly:
it was 675+2500= 3175 weapon damage per sec.
now 750 by 120%=1550 weapon damage per sec with 3 phantasms.
useless anyway. Yeah, they just gor rid of the mechanincs and did what they are best at: MULTIPLIERS.
